Abstract:
A method (100) of making an integrated handle (304) on at least one side gusset (308) of a flexible package (300) is provided. The method (100) includes steps of sealing a handle patch (222) on at least one half width of the side gusset laminate (218). Further, the method (100) provides parallel openings on the handle patch (222) such that a centre line of the two parallel openings coincides with centre lines of each half of the side gusset laminate (218). A cover patch (226) is sealed over the handle patch (222) overlapping the edges of the handle patch (222) and simultaneously with the side gusset laminate (218) ail around, such that a predefined area is left unsealed between the two parallel openings. The longitudinal edges of the side gusset laminate (218) are folded such that the handle patch (222) comes on the outer surface of the continuous open tube (242) being formed. The continuous open tube (242) is thereby used for manufacturing the flexible package (300).
Abstract:
An automated manufacture system (100) for bags (A3) of bellow free structure wherein polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), non-woven fabrics (A) are joined by ultrasonic welding method, material saving is provided and production process are minimized, it consists of an edge folding station (103) where edges (A2) of the fabric (A) are folded, a side edge welding station (105) fixing the folded edges (A2) of the fabric (A), a bottom cutting station (110) cutting the closed folded bottom edge (A5) of the fabric (A) folded in the middle, a length welding station (113) conducting welding to fabric (A) via ultrasonic welding technique on vertical x-axis in measurement steps determined by photocell (106), a handle fitting station (112), a cutting station (115) applying cutting process and a bottom fixing station (118).
Abstract:
A method of forming a bag with at least one gusset on one side including the steps of (a) forming a bag blank having a front panel and a back panel connectable along opposite sides, (b) forming a gusset along one side of one of the front and back panels, the gusset comprising first and second gusset panels inwardly V-folded, which gusset panels have a removable gusset portion at a selected position on the one side, (c) adhesively adhering one side of a patch to one of the gusset panels to a location adjacent the removable gusset portion, the patch having a second adhesive on portions extending beyond the one gusset panel location to the removable gusset portion and beyond the V-fold, (d) removing the removable gusset portion from the gusset, and (e) adhering the second adhesive on the one side of the patch extending portions to facing portions of one of the front and back panel.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a packaged cementitious product including a bag formed of a polymeric material. The bag has first and second sealed ends. The first end has a first tab extending therefrom defining at least one aperture therethrough so that the first tab defines a first handle. The second end has a second tab extending therefrom defining at least one aperture therethrough so that the second tab defines a second handle. A cementitious product is sealed within the bag, and wherein the first and second handles facilitate the handling of the packaged cementitious product.
Abstract:
Bag (1) made of heat sealable plastic, each of its walls (2) being provided, in a region (3) near to its opening (4) with at least one cut-out constituting the handle, and having, in the region (3) a reinforcement consisting of a fold (6) turned down on the wall (2) so that its free edge (8) is located between said cut-out segment and the bottom (14) of the bag, and a reinforcing piece (9) associated with the bag between the fold (6) and the wall (2), the cut-out segment (5) being entirely located in the region of the reinforcing piece (9), whereby the turned-down fold (6) is attached to the corresponding wall (2) along its free edge (8), opposite the cut-out segment (5) and over a distance at least equal to the size of said cut-out segment parallel to the bottom of the bag, process for the manufacture of said bag and installation for the implementation of this process.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A bag has a front panel, a back panel, and a gusset panel. Either or both of the front panel and the gusset panel at one side has an extension, and either or both of the back panel and the gusset panel at the other side has an extension. The extensions are welded together at outer margins thereof so that the width of the combined extensions is greater than the width of the gusset panel. The extensions are formed with carrying apertures.
