Abstract:
The present invention provides a packaged cementitious product including a bag formed of a polymeric material. The bag has first and second sealed ends. The first end has a first tab extending therefrom defining at least one aperture therethrough so that the first tab defines a first handle. The second end has a second tab extending therefrom defining at least one aperture therethrough so that the second tab defines a second handle. A cementitious product is sealed within the bag, and wherein the first and second handles facilitate the handling of the packaged cementitious product.
Abstract:
A bag has a body portion having a seam forming a pocket, an opening in the body portion arranged to receive items, a first handle located adjacent to the opening, and a second handle arranged adjacent to the seam, off-set from the first handle. A method of manufacture a bag having two handles includes providing stock in the form of a tubular plastic film stock, forming a first bag from the tubular plastic film stock, the first bag having a first handle at a top of the bag, and a second handle at a bottom of the bag, and forming a second bag from the tubular plastic film stock, the second bag having a first handle at a top of the second bag, the first handle of the second bag arranged adjacent the bottom handle of the first bag.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of forming a bag. The method includes the step of forming a line of weakness in a portion of material being used to form a part of the bag, placing a patch over the line of weakness, and forming the bag. The arrangement and construction is preferably such that the patch is located substantially inside the bag thus formed. The line of weakness and patch may preferably act as a self-closing opening for the bag. A bag which includes such a self-closing opening, and bag machinery used for forming such a bag, are also described.

Abstract:
A container (1) consisting of at least two flexible films, said container having at least one outer surface (3) and at least one inner surface, characterised in that at least one portion of said outer surface (3) is suitable for forming a handle (2) of the container (1) itself and capable of resisting lacerations during its use. Said container is produced by means of a method that is efficient, cost-effective and capable of being carried out with a limited number of steps, since no further step is necessary at the end of the production of the container (1) to apply the handle (2) to the container (1) itself.
Abstract:
A roll of handled plastic bags is formed from a continuous collapsed tube. Each bag is bounded by two longitudinally spaced heat seals and is separable from the roll along perforated lines. The bag handles (32) and bag mouth (30) are formed by die cutting the tube. Improved separation of film layers is achieved by perforating a minor bag mouth edge portion centrally located between the opposing major inside smooth edge portions and tearing scrap thermoplastic film from the die-cut bag mouth to provide a rough edge having a series of torn film edge discontinuities which facilitate separation of blocked adjacent film layers during opening of the bag mouth.
Abstract:
A flexible container (10) is provided. The flexible container (10) includes four panels (18, 20, 22, 24). The four panels form a body portion (47); a neck portion (30), and a flare portion (50) that extends from the neck portion (30); a tapered transition portion between the body portion (47) and the neck portion (30); and the neck portion (30) has a reduced width. The flare portion (50) has an expanded end (51). The width of the flare portion (50) gradually increases from the neck portion (30) to the expanded end (51).

Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of making re-closable package (10) and a product made therefrom. The said method comprises providing a first web (46) and a second web (50), folding a predetermined portion (P) of the first web (46) into a V-shape (58) thereby forming an extended portion and cutting the V-shape (58) of the first web (46) to form a pair of extended panels (62). A re-closable zipper (42) sealed with the extended panels (62). The first web (46) sealed with the second web (50) at a first sealing zone (SZ1) and second sealing zone (SZ2). Subsequently, cut the first web (46) and the second web (50) at the first sealing zone (SZ1) thereby obtaining a re-closable package (10). The said re-closable package (10) comprising a first panel (14), a second panel (18) and optionally side gussets (22, 26) and a bottom gusset (30).
Abstract:
A bag has a front panel, a back panel, and a gusset panel. Either or both of the front panel and the gusset panel at one side has an extension, and either or both of the back panel and the gusset panel at the other side has an extension. The extensions are welded together at outer margins thereof so that the width of the combined extensions is greater than the width of the gusset panel. The extensions are formed with carrying apertures.
