Abstract:
A description is given of a packaging for containing and extracting a fizzy beverage, preferably draft or bottled beer, with the addition of a gas suitable for beverages and of low solubility in the fizzy liquid, preferably nitrogen, said gas being deposited directly into the container packaging and in contact with the fizzy liquid, without being stored in a separate container or in a device for regulating the internal pressure of the packaging, said packaging (10) having an extractor valve (20) and a siphon tube (30) dimensioned for the release of the fizzy beverage without excess foam, the ratio between the diameter measurement of the siphon (30) and the respective length measurement of said siphon tube (30) being up to 2.0%.
Abstract:
A system 1 and method for dispensing beverage from a container 700, such as wine from a wine bottle. Dispensing may be automatically controlled based on a detected orientation of the container, e.g., dispensing may occur when a bottle 700 is tilted as if to pour from the bottle and stopped when the bottle is oriented upright. Dispensing may be stopped when the container is rotated about its longitudinal axis even while in a pour orientation. The remaining amount of beverage in the container 700 is detected on the base of the time needed for pressurising the container or of the time needed to dispense beverage from the container. The pressure gas used to drive dispensing is detected on the base of the time needed for pressurising the container.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a dispensing unit, comprising a tapping column (1), comprising fixed to and extending substantially normal to the top surface (11a) of a top plate (11) provided with a through opening; and forming at the top of the column an elbow. The column comprises an elongated inner channel (2) bringing in fluid communication the opening of the support plate with a tapping pinch-valve (3a, 3b) located in a tapping head (3) positioned at or adjacent the elbow at the opposite top end of the tapping column and opening to ambient atmosphere facing towards the support plate (11). The tapping pinch-valve comprises first and second jaws (3a, 3b) suitable for receiving in pinching relationship the flexible portion of the outlet end (4a) of said dispensing line and for controlling the flow of liquid therethrough. The column (1) comprises means (1b) for opening a portion of the channel (2) including the pinch valve, such that the first and second jaws (3a, 3b) can be separated from one another by a distance substantially larger than the one corresponding to the open position (d1).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for dispensing beverages from receptacles such as bottles and the like, characterized by a dispensing unit comprising a tap (10) adapted to clean all the zones involved in the circulation of the beverage, thus limiting the consumption of inert gas required for this operation, by employing two separate modules for managing the beverage dispensing and for managing the inert gas emission.
Abstract:
Devices and methods are disclosed for extracting fluids from within a container sealed by a cork or septum without removal of the cork or septum or the contamination of the fluid within the container by reactive gases or liquids. Embodiments of the device can include a needle (200) connected to a valve (300) which is in turn connected to a source of pressurized gas (100) for displacing the fluid. Further embodiments of the device can comprise additional components that act to force the needle to be inserted through the cork or septum along a linear path, to aid in preventing buckling of the needle, to clamp the device to the container, to prevent expulsion of the cork or septum from the container, and to guide the needle through a specified region of the cork or septum. Various valves, pressure regulators, pressure ranges, needle geometries, gas selections are also presented. This device is particularly suited for the dispensing and preservation of wine.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a beverage dispensing device comprising: (a) A container (8) containing a liquid beverage to be dispensed, (b) A beverage dispensing line (4) and a gas line (6), (c) A keg connector suitable for connecting the interior of the keg with the dispensing line (4) and, gas line (6) by coupling said keg connector to a closure of the container; (d) A storing compartment (11) comprising means (5) for receiving at least two containers; (e) An elongated tapping column (2), fixed to said top plate (11t) and provided with a tapping valve element (3) Characterized in that, the means for receiving at least two containers in the storing compartment (11) are such that each container is stored in a dispensing position with its longitudinal axis, X1, forming a storing angle of ± 30° with respect to the top plane, Π, and in that, the keg connector is such that the height, H2, measured along the longitudinal axis, X1, between the bottom end of a container and the furthest point of the keg connector coupled to the closure of said connector is not more than 5% greater than the height, H1, of said container without keg connector, (H2-H1)/H1 ≤ 5%.

The present invention relates to a device for distributing the inert gas from a dispensing conduit, towards a plurality of user devices, in particular towards a plurality of taps of the type of those employed in apparatuses for dispensing beverages from containers such as bottles and the like, the device comprising a parallelepiped- shaped main body (10) having one hole (11,12) on each end of the body, four holes (13) on the side surface of the body, each hole (11,12,13) associated with a fitting (15) or a cap (16), and a channel (17) which puts the holes in communication.
Abstract:
A gas line leakage monitor for beverage dispensing system is configured to prevent unintended environmental discharge of a beverage dispensing gas such as CO2. The monitor includes a gas inlet coupled to the source of gas and a gas outlet coupled to the dispensing portions of the system. The monitor includes a flow sensor detecting when gas is flowing through the monitor. The monitor includes a timer coupled to the flow sensor and tracking the amount of time that the flow sensor detects at least each episode of un-interrupted flow of gas through the monitor. The monitor includes a shut-off valve coupled to the timer for stopping the flow of gas through the monitor and to the system's dispensing portions when the timer indicates an episode of un-interrupted gas flow through the monitor meets a pre-set threshold. The monitor includes a manual reset for opening the shut-off valve.
