Abstract:
Systems and methods for extracorporeal processing of blood or other body fluid for the treatment of conditions, such as sepsis, autoimmune disease, or toxemia related to kidney failure, liver failure, or drug overdose are provided. In an extracorporeal treatment system (10, 180, and 250), a fraction of a body fluid is passed into a treatment fluid, at least a portion of which is then passed through a sorbent suspension reactor (34, 50, 90, 150, 200, 350, 400, 440, 170, and 480) for treatment by a sorbent suspension. The treatment fluid circuit (14, 184) can be maintained at a fixed volume, which enables accurate fluid balance between the patient and the extracorporeal circuit. Some or all of the treatment fluid, optionally also containing nutrients and/or therapeutic agents, is returned to the patient. In a peritoneal dialysis system, dialysate is passed into a patient's peritoneal cavity, recovered from the cavity, passed through a sorbent suspension reactor in accordance with the invention, and returned to the cavity.
Abstract:
An apparatus (1) subjects water to waves from an RF plasma. This allows continuous production of "activated water" characterized by cluster sizes below about 4 molecules per cluster, water having pH below 4 or above 10, or water having ORP of less than -350 mV or more than + 800 mV. The basic frequency of the plasma is preferably between 0.44 MHz and 40.68 MHz, and the plasma is preferably modulated at a frequency between 10 kHz and 34 kHz. Flow rates typically range from 20 l/hr to about 2000 l/hr. Activated water can be used for many purposes, including antimicrobial cleaning of worktable, floor, wall, knife, transport and other surfaces, for example, in meat processing facilities and hospitals.
Abstract:
Apparatus for delivering electromagnetic energy into a solution comprises a power source (11), an oscillator crystal (12) and an antenna (14) for transmitting the generated signal into the solution. The solution is water which is used to irrigate plants and flowers or which can be used for consumption by humans or animals or for use in domestic applications.
Abstract:
Water in a recirculating hot potable water system 110 is treated by power pulses, by placing a coil near the water and providing to the coil an AC power source. The power source is connected in a first loop with the coil and a switch during at least a portion of a first half-cycle of the AC power source period. The switch is opened during a second half -cycle, during which a subroutine of producing at least a first ringing pulse in the coil assembly is performed. The water is treated chemically and by the power pulses. An improved water system has a water heater 112 and a circulation line 116 providing a flow loop. There is a tap 124 for diverting circulating water through an external loop and there is a pulsed power water treatment apparatus 122 mounted on the circulation line. A chemical treatment apparatus 126 is periodically connected to the tap.

Abstract:
The present invention includes an improved electrostatic device for energizing fluids, in particular water based fluids, which will be used to provide a benefit to living organisms, machinery, processes and substances. The improved device of the invention will include an electrostatic voltage spike signal generator (76), two or more radio frequency signal generators (57-60), one or more antennas (44), optional one or more signal boosters (43) and a fluid conduit (50). When fluid is treated with the improved device of the invention, the fluid will become energized and can be used to provide significant benefits in applications such as milk production, flower production, fruit production, crop production, vegetable production, shrimp production, egg production, meat production, gasoline combustion, waste fluid combustion, scale removal, water purification, fluid tracking, fluid sterilization and more.
Abstract:
A treating chamber for high-strength pulse electric field or high-frequency electric field fluid treating equipment comprises a treating cavity that is composed by two metal hollow pipes (1,2) and an isolated ring (3). The isolated ring (3) locates at the joint of the two metal hollow pipes (1,2). The two metal hollow pipes (1,2) connect with the two electrodes of high-strength pulse electrical source or high-frequency electrical source. Inside the two hollow pipes (1,2), there is at least a metal conductor or a conducting wire (4) adjacent to the isolated ring (3).
Abstract:
The present invention provides systems and methods of conducting a commercial process involving a transient extreme pH. A preferred method comprises identifying the commercial process as involving a transient extreme pH; separating a fluid into a high extreme acidity stream and a low extreme acidity stream; and applying an amount of at least one of the fluid streams during the commercial process. Furthermore, substantially all types of commercially important chemical reactions may benefit from the addition of fluids having a transient pH. Those chemical reactions can be classified as follows: buffered reactions; oxidation/reduction reactions; crystallization processes; biological processes; non-biological processes; and all other chemical reactions or processes.

Abstract:
A fountain solution for a lithographic press is treated by applying a succession of doses of electromagnetic radiation at increasing frequencies from audio to radio frequencies, via an antenna (20) which is immersed in the solution; its conductive elements (40, 46) are sealed within an insulating sheath (48) so as to be out of contact with the solution.
