The present invention relates to degradable polyacetal polymers having a C(O)-(CH 2 CH 2 O) n -R 5 or a saccharide attached to amine radical of the backbone of the polymer, their polymer-active agent conjugates and their preparation processes, to compositions, and hydrogels containing them, as well as their use in therapy, diagnostic imaging and cosmetics.

The application provides a method of producing a comb polymer comprising the steps of: (a) Providing: (i) a plurality of monomers which are linear, branched or star-shaped, substituted or non-substituted, and have an olefinically unsaturated moiety, the olefinically unsaturated moiety being capable of undergoing addition polymerisation; (ii) an initiator compound; the initiator compound comprising a homolytically cleavable bond. (iii) a catalyst capable of catalysing the polymerisation of the monomer; and (b) Causing the catalyst to catalyse, in combination with the initiator, the polymerisation of a plurality of the monomers to produce the comb polymer Catalysts and polymers obtainable by the process are also provided. Preferably, the comb polymer is capable of binding proteins and may be produced from monomers which are alkoxy polyethers, such as poly(alkyleneglycol) or polytetrahydrofuran.

Described herein is a millable fluorinated block copolymer having at least one A block and at least one B block, wherein the A block is a semi-crystalline segment comprising repeating divalent monomeric units derived from TFE, HFP and VDF; and the B block is a segment comprising repeating dilvalent monomeric units derived from HFP and VDF; and wherein the millable fluorinated block copolymer has a modulus of 0.1 to 2.5 MPa at 100°C.

This invention discloses a cross-linked spherical particulate having good toughness and elasticity and excellent chemical properties and a method of producing said particulate by polymerizing a dispersion of a radical-polymerizable component (M) containing a radical-polymerizable vinylic compound (V) prepared by the reaction of a specified polyol (a), an isocyanate compound (b), and a radical-polymerizable vinyl monomer (c) having an active hydrogen group. Also disclosed are a coating composition produced from said particulate, a filmy or sheetlike article and an adhesive filmy or sheetlike article produced from said composition, and a releasable pressure-sensitive adhesive and an article thereof produced from said particulate.
