A process for the production of a polyurethane foam having a resilience of at least 50%, said process comprising reacting (i) a first polyether polyol comprising polyether chains containing no more than 20% ethylene oxide content, and having a primary hydroxyl content of no more than 25%; (ii) a second polyether polyol comprising polyether chains containing at least 50% ethylene oxide content; and (iii) one or more aromatic polyisocyanates, in the presence of one or more catalysts having gelling and/or blowing activities.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a tertiary amine initiator and polymeric polyol compositions made therefrom useful for making polyurethane polymers, especially polyurethane foams. Said polyurethane polymer foams demonstrate a good balance of mechanical properties, physical properties, and low emissions. The tertiary amine initiator is one or more partially alkylated amine compound have the Structure II: RR 1 N - (R'-NH) y - (R'-NR 4 ) x-y - R' - NR 2 R 3 wherein R' is a C 1 to C 6 linear or branched alkyl group, R, R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 are independently a hydrogen or a C 1 to C 6 linear or branched alkyl group with the proviso that at least one of R, R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 is not hydrogen, R 4 is a hydrogen or a C 1 to C 6 linear or branched alkyl group, x is from 1 to 33, y is from 0 to 32, and z is from 0 to 15, with the proviso that x-y is equal to or greater than 1 and the number of N-H bonds in (II) is greater than 0 and less than 8.

The present invention provides a polyol composition for preparing a viscoelastic and reticulated polyurethane foam, comprising a first polyether polyol bl), a second polyether polyol b2), a third polyether polyol b3), and a surfactant b6). The present invention also provides a viscoelastic and reticulated polyurethane foam prepared from said polyol composition, wherein the polyurethane foam has a ball rebound rate of less than 15% determined according to GB/T6670-2008.

A reaction system comprising an organic polyisocyanate and an isocyanate reactive component for preparation of a viscoelastic polyurethane foam is provided. The isocyanate reactive component comprises (i) from 10 to 50% by weight of one or more low equivalent weight propylene oxide rich (PO-rich) polyols having a combined number average equivalent weight from 200 to 500, (ii) from 45 to 95% by weight of one or more ethylene oxide (EO-rich) polyols having a combined number average equivalent weight from 200 to 800 and an ethylene oxide content from 40% to 65% by weight of the total mass of the EO-rich polyol and at least one of (iii) from 10 to 30% by weight of one or more high equivalent weight PO-rich polyols having a number average equivalent weight from 800 to 2,000 or (iv) from 10 to 40% by weight of one or more propylene oxide co-polymer polyols containing styrene-acrylonitrile.

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von viskoelastischen Polyurethan-Weichschaumstoffen durch Umsetzung von a) Polyisocyanaten mit b)Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei mit Isocyanatgruppen reaktiven Wasserstoffatomen, c)Treibmitteln, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei mit Isocyanatgruppen reaktiven Wasserstoffatomen b) b1) 0 bis 90 Gew.-Teile mindestens eines Polyetheralkohols, bestehend aus ausschliesslich Propylenoxideinheiten oder Propylenoxideinheiten und maximal 50 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge der eingesetzten Alkylenoxide Ethylenoxideinheiten in der Polyetherkette, mit einer nominalen Funktionalität von 3-8 und einer Hydroxylzahl im Bereich von 100 bis 350 mgKOH/g,und b2)10 bis100 Gew.-Teile mindestens eines Graftpolyols, herstellbar durch in-situ- Polymerisation von olefinisch ungesättigten Monomeren in mindestens einem Polyetheralkohol, der ausschliesslich Propylenoxideinheiten oder Propylenoxideinheiten und maximal 50 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge der eingesetzten Alkylenoxide Ethylenoxideinheiten in der Polyetherkette, eine nominale Funktionalität von 2-8 und eine Hydroxylzahl im Bereich von 100 bis 350 mgKOH/g aufweist,mit einem Feststoffgehalt von maximal 60 Gew.-% bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge der eingesetzten Polyole und Feststoff, enthalten, wobei sich die Summe der Gewichtsteile b1) und b2) 100 beträgt.
