In another embodiment, a method of making the preceding polyamide composition, which comprises anionically polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising a cyclic lactam monomer, a solvent in which the cyclic lactam monomer is soluble, a catalyst, and an activator to form the anionically polymerized polyamide.
