Abstract:

Abstract:
A pituitous silicone fluid includes a hydrosilylation reaction product and a carrier fluid. The hydrosilylation reaction product is the reaction product of a first linear organopolysiloxane and a second linear organopolysiloxane. The first linear organopolysiloxane includes (R 1 R 2 R 3 SiO 1/2 ) and (R 4 R 5 SiO 2/2 ) units. Each of R 1 -R 5 is independently a hydrocarbon group so long as at least one of R1-R5 is an alkenyl group. In addition, the first linear organopolysiloxane has a degree of polymerization of from 100 to 15,000. The second linear organopolysiloxane includes (R 6 R 7 R 8 SiO 1/2 ) and (R 9 R 10 SiO 2/2 ) units. Each of R 6 -R 10 is independently a hydrocarbon group, polyether group, siloxane group, or polyol group, so long as at least one of R 6 -R 10 is a hydrogen atom. In addition, the second linear organopolysiloxane has a degree of polymerization of from 4 to 1,000. The hydrosilylation reaction product includes alkenyl or Si-H functionality. Personal care compositions can include the pituitous silicone fluid.
Abstract:
Provided in various embodiments are methods for making ultraviolet radiation curable (UV-curable) silicone compositions and the UV-curable silicone compositions prepared by such methods. Provided in various embodiments are methods for making anti-dust coatings using such UV-curable silicone compositions and the anti-dust coatings using such UV-curable silicone compositions prepared by such methods. The UV-curable silicone compositions may be used in the coating of silicone-based articles for LED packages, encapsulants, lamps, luminaires, optical articles and the like, substantially reducing and/or eliminating the pick-up of dust and improving optical properties of the silicone-based articles.
Abstract:
The invention provides a release-modifier composition comprising a capped polydiorganosiloxane-(MQ resin) copolymer, which comprises a macromolecule having an MQ resin portion covalently bonded to a polydiorganosiloxane portion; wherein the polydiorganosiloxane portion comprises two D segments coupled to each other via a (R V ,Alkenyl)SiO 2/2 unit, wherein R V is (C1-C6)hydrocarbyl. The invention also provides a curable release-coating composition comprising or prepared from the release-modifier composition, cured release-coating composition, coatings comprising same, manufactured articles, kits, methods and uses.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a curable silicone composition comprising: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in a molecule and represented by the average unit formula; (B) a straight chain organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in a molecule and having no silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms; (C) an organosiloxane (C 1 ) represented by the general formula, an organopolysiloxane (C 2 ) having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in a molecule and represented by the average unit formula, or a mixture of components (C 1 ) and (C 2 ); and (D) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst.
