The present invention relates to the field of processing hydrocarbons which causes corrosion in the metal surfaces of processing units. The invention addresses the technical problem of high temperature naphthenic acid corrosion and sulphur corrosion and provides a solution to inhibit these types of corrosion. The three combination compositions are formed by two mixtures separately, with one mixture obtained by mixing compound A, which is obtained by reacting high reactive polyisobutylene (HRPIB) with phosphorous pentasulphide in presence of catalytic amount of sulphur with compound B which is thiophosphorous compound such as phosphorous thioacid ester of Formula (1) and second mixture obtained by mixing compound A with compound C of Formula (2) which is obtained by reacting compound B with ethylene oxide, wherein each of these two mixtures independently provide high corrosion inhibition efficiency in case of high temperature naphthenic acid corrosion inhibition and sulphur corrosion inhibition. The invention is useful in all hydrocarbon processing units, such as, refineries, distillation columns and other petrochemical industries.

The invention relates to lubricants used in friction assemblies: rolling-element and slide bearings, hinged bearings, threaded joints, cogged and other gears under maximum temperatures up to 200-250 DEG . The proposed middle-temperature grease based on soap-thickened oils contains an organophosphoric additive, graphite and molybdenum disulphide. As an organophosphoric additive it contains a mixture of isomers - a product of the interaction between diethyl phosphite and N-arylsulphonylquinonimine, and as soap-thickened oils - a mixture of Ca-stearate or Li-12-hydroxystearate with heavy petroleum oils (MC20 oil). The proposed grease is far superior to known greases in terms of operating characteristics: anti-wear and anti-scuff properties under severe operating conditions, as well the grease having the property of increased retention time on friction surfaces. Under conditions of high temperature, ingress of water and slag, friction assemblies, bearings in particular, with the grease applied, operate for 200 twenty-four-hour periods and more.

The concentrate comprise specified proportions of diluent oil, an organic sulfur-containing antiwear and/or extreme pressure agent, an ashless dispersant, a dimethyl ester of an aliphatic phosphonic acid in which the aliphatic group has an average in the range of about 12 to about 24 carbon atoms, and a 3-hydro-carbyl-2,5-diketopyrrolidine in which the hydrocarbyl group is an alkyl or alkenyl group having an average in the range of about 12 to about 30 carbon atoms. By using weight ratios of diketopyrrolidine to the dimethyl phosphonate of at least 3:1, the concentrate remains homogeneous at temperatures at least as low as 12 DEG C. When utilized as a top treat in gear oils formulated with conventional GL-4 and GL-5 gear additive packages substantial improvements in limited slip axle performance can be realized.

The phosphorus-free, low ash and light ash formulations may be prepared either as a lubricating oil or as a concentrated additive for a lubricating oil. Additionally, low ash and light ash motor oils containing no metal DTPs, halogens or hazardous substances are disclosed. The low ash and light ash formulations without metal DTPs may be prepared either as a lubricating oil or as a concentrated additive for a lubricating oil. The use of both the oils and the concentrated additives results in superior price and performance qualities compared to the leading commercial brands.
