Abstract:
Anti-fall safety system intended to prevent the detachment of a first component with respect to a second component of an opening and closing system, wherein the first component and the second component are constrained to each other by means of reciprocal retaining means, in such a way that the first component is mobile with respect to the second component, said safety system comprising an at least partially flexible elongated means which is provided with at least one engagement element placed in correspondence of one end of said elongated means, said engagement element being intended to engage in correspondence of an engagement point, following said engagement the elongated means preventing the detachment of the first component with respect to the second component.
Abstract:
This application teaches a flush mount, quick inspection portal for aircraft. An object of the invention is to provide a flush inspection portal that will allow quick access into inspection areas. Another object of the invention is to reduce the number of man hours required for periodic inspection of aircraft. Another object of the invention is to reduce the number of man hours required for periodic inspections. Another object of this invention is to provide a flush inspection portal that is durable against extreme temperature changes and vibrations. Another object of the invention is to provide inspection portals that may replace cover plates as an after factory add on or in manufacturing.
Abstract:
There is provided a barrier and a method of opening and closing a barrier. The barrier comprising a first arm moveable about a first support, a second arm moveable about a second support and at least one coupling. The first and second supports are spaced across an opening and the barrier is arranged between an open and closed position, such that in the closed position, the arms are arranged in combination to traverse the opening. The barrier is further arranged in a locked position, such that the coupling is slidably coupled to the first and second arms. The barrier improves the safety of loading bay areas in order to allow the efficient transfer of goods on freight transportation vehicles.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a window and door system having an easily changeable structure, wherein: striker holders are coupled to side installation spaces of a doorframe such that the strikers are coupled and laid in the installation spaces; finishing caps are coupled to the striker holders such that the strikers are supported in the striker holders; and the strikers are laid within the installation spaces between doorframe rails with the striker holders so as not to be protrude towards an access space of the doorframe. Thus, since the strikers do not protrude within the access space of the doorframe, the window and door system can maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and the strikers do not strike a part of a user's body when the user accesses the access space of the doorframe so as to prevent accidents. Furthermore, it is possible to change a locked door to an unlocked door or to change the unlocked door to the locked door by a very simple operation of replacing fixed covers or rail covers in the doorframe, and thus the structure can be changed very easily.
Abstract:
The present invention describes a medical, supply or transfer lock (120) for a pressure vessel (100) for human occupancy. The medical lock (120) includes a body tube (122), an outer door flange (124) and an outer door (140) in sealing face relation with an inside face (125) of the outer door flange (124). In an embodiment, the outer door (124) has upper rollers (146a) and lower rollers (146b). The upper rollers run on a horizontal rail (160) whilst the lower rollers run on a slant rail (170), which is mounted below the horizontal rail (160). The ends of the horizontal and slant rails (160,170) are curved (163, 172) so that weight component of the outer door is generated to assist the outer door to close. When pressure in the medical lock (120) is increased, the outer door (140) of this medical lock (120) becomes self-locking and self-sealing.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A multi-purpose window system which opens inwards and outwards and in a variety of new modes in a triple frame format with a cross-connector linking the three frames and providing a credible alternative to the "tilt and turn" mechanisms currently employed in the window industry to achieve regulation compliance. The triple frame format and cross-connector allows for many different windows to be created. For example, a window which can be deployed vertically as in a house wall or dwelling or non-vertically as in a roof structure from a single fabrication.
Abstract:
There is provided a building such as a greenhouse having a roof (15), two end walls (11) and two side walls (12, 14). The roof (15) preferably has a convexly curved shape and one side wall (14) is higher than the other side wall (12) and is angled away therefrom. One of the ends (11) has a pivot door (22) comprising two door sections which are pivoted at opposite corners (24) and meet on a diagonal meeting line. The greenhouse has a gutter (17) which is a structural member and which acts as a rainwater reservoir.
