Abstract:
The window or door comprises a support frame (1), a holding frame (2) connected to the support frame (1) by connection members and a multiple glazing supported by the two frames. The weight of the glazing is supported by the support frame (1). The edge of the glazing bears, through a seal (6, 9), against a traverse beam of the holding frame (2). The holding frame (2) is fixed to the support frame (1) by connection members so that it may be arranged at right angles to the plane of the frame. The two seals (6, 9) form a vapor-tight closure on all the periphery of the glazing. A seal (12) is arranged between the two frames (1, 2), which spans the space of displacement (11) between the two frames (1, 2). It comprises a bellows (12a) of sufficient elasticity to allow the relative displacement of the two frames and which sealingly insolates the air volume (13) comprised between the two glazings (4, 8) from the outside atmosphere.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement (1) for a window (2) or some other covering element, which exhibits a window casement (4) or other outer casement for a covering element pivotally mounted and capable of being accommodated in a window frame (3) or some other frame. In accordance with the invention, an air admission passage (5) is present along at least one part of the aforementioned frame (3) and the outer casement (4) when the window (2), etc., is retained in the closed position. Arranged on the inside of the aforementioned window (2) is a preferably pivotally mounted covering frame (7) for closing and opening the aforementioned passage (5).
Abstract:
A window assembly comprises a window frame. A non-specular window panel assembly is supported by the window frame, and can comprise of a plurality of glass blocks joined together. A low-emissivity window panel assembly is juxtaposed to the non-specular window panel assembly. The window frame supports the low-emissivity window panel assembly.

Abstract:
A window or door construction achieved by one material profile (10) and comprising frames, casement frames and/or casements, whereby a frame for the construction consists of frame pieces (1a) from a material profile (10), which displays a first shank and a second shank and also a first and second groove (7 and 8 respectively). The material profile (10) is also used for a casement frame or an inner or outer casement in the same construction, whereby the material profile for use for casement frames or connected inner and outer casements is divided in a cut (9) in a second groove (8) displayed by the material profile to form casement frame pieces or material pieces for an inner and outer casement. The said first shank in the material profile (10) forms in a casement frame or a casement a rebate to the frame, while the said second shank, which in the material profile (10) is arranged diametrically to the said first shank, is arranged in a casement frame or a casement to form a first supporting strip for in the casement frame or casement arranged parts, such as a window pane.
Abstract:
A main support frame is formed from sections of a plastic extrusion and has opposite side portions with peripheral recesses receiving an inner sash unit and outer sash unit each having a frame formed from sections of a plastic extrusion and supporting an insulated glass unit. Hinges support the dual sash units for pivotal movement between open and closed positions, and gear connected telescopic link members connect the main frame to the sash frames for simultaneous movement. A lock system includes a handle on the inner sash unit for moving straps with studs on the sash frames through a connector mechanism mounted on the main frame for simultaneously locking and releasing both sash units and for releasing only the inner sash unit. A screen and/or mini- blind may be supported between the sash units, and the window system with dual sash units may be constructed in various forms.
Abstract:
Extruded plastic profiles with integrated insulation, the method for extruding such products, and the windows and doors made with such plastic extrusions. The plastic extusions may additionally include a low heat build-up capstock system comprising an acrylic cap and pigment system that is substantially IR transparent. The extruded plastic profiles with integrated insulation are recyclable using conventional plastic extrusion process and are fully weldable in conventional window and door manufacturing.
Abstract:
A multi-purpose window system which opens inwards and outwards and in a variety of new modes in a triple frame format with a cross-connector linking the three frames and providing a credible alternative to the "tilt and turn" mechanisms currently employed in the window industry to achieve regulation compliance. The triple frame format and cross-connector allows for many different windows to be created. For example, a window which can be deployed vertically as in a house wall or dwelling or non-vertically as in a roof structure from a single fabrication.
