A modular furniture system is provided. The system includes surface members, junctions, and connectors. Each connector has two engagement portions. The surface members and junctions each include one or more channels for receiving a connector, the channels are shaped to slidingly attach with an engagement portion of a connector. The channels are positioned so that the connectors being used to interconnect a surface member to a junction or a surface member to another surface member to assemble the modular furniture system.

The invention relates to a shear connector (4) for connecting at least two components (1, 2, 3), said connector having a number of pins (6). The shear connector (4) is embedded at least partially and preferably completely in one of the components (2, 3) and the pins (6) of the shear connector (4) engage in corresponding cavities in the component (2, 3) that carries the shear connector (4). To improve the ease of assembly, the shear connector (4) is configured in at least two sections and is provided with elements (10) or co-operates with elements that are used to interconnect the two or more sections (4a, 4b) of the shear connector (4). The invention also relates to a system of interconnected components.

The invention is concerned with the formation of modular units from individual plate-like elements (630) and other elements with special interlocking joints at their ends that allow them to form cubes that can be grouped together to form storage "cubbies" and modular structural systems and toy construction sets and the like. In one embodiment, the plates are formed with one end having studs on a 45 degree angled surface, and the other end having receptacles or openings such as sockets on a 45 degree angled surface for interlocking with a second mating plate like the first, but in which the studs and sockets are interchanged, allowing a cube to be formed by two of each type of plate, with the use of studs and sockets on the surfaces allowing two or more such cubes to stick together. In another embodiment, the cube is made from four identical plates, as by an extrusion process, where one end of a plate contains double male features, such as barb arrows, and other end contains double corresponding female features that mate with the male features from other plates, whereby the male and female features allow the ends of the plates to slide into each other like dovetail to form a cube, and with adjoining cubes sharing surfaces. Other variations are also disclosed, as well as novel extruded truss sections.

A device (31) for assembling frames and frame mouldings which utilizes a monolithic assembly part (31) forming a double tenon, and having the shape of two identical circular truncated cones whose height is essentially equal to three quarters of the thickness of the parts (32, 33) to be assembled. Said assembly part is inserted into the blind drilling holes (34, 25) of a corresponding form provided on the edge of the joint surfaces of the parts to be assembled. It is designed for assembling, with or without glue, wooden parts or other materials, such as frame moulds, comprising mitre joints. The machine for cutting mitre joints for the implementation of said assembly device (31) includes a sealed housing (1) provided with two circular saw blades (4, 5) perpendicular between themselves and operated by a single motor (2). The housing is vertically mobile in relation to a work surface (3) provided with means for securing the part to be cut. Two conical milling cutters (28) located under the work surface together bore the holes (34, 35) in the parts (32, 33) to be assembled.

The locking member comprises a first elongate body (215) having a first diameter attached with one end to the first latching member (213), and a second elongate body (216) that is connected to the first elongate body (215) movably along a longitudinal axis (L). The second elongate body (216) comprises a second diameter being smaller than the diameter of the first elongate body and being attached with one end to the second latching member (212).

The present invention relates to a device (1) for connecting a panel structure, and to a structure comprising components (15, 25) mutually connected by means of said device (1). The connection device (1) according to the invention basically comprises a first element (10) and a second element (20) mutually connected by connection means (50). The first element (10) has at least one first shaped coupling surface (11) and first fixing means (61) suitable for attaching the first element (10) to a first component (15). The second element (20) has a second coupling surface (21) fitting said first coupling surface (11) and second fixing means (62) suitable for attaching the second element (20) to a second component (25). The connection means (50) exert a force sufficient to bring the first element (10) into contact with the second element (23), generating a mutual contact in correspondence of the two coupling surfaces (11) and (21).

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Verbundanker (4) zum Verbinden mindestens zweier Bauelemente (1, 2, 3), der eine Anzahl Dorne (6) aufweist, wobei der Verbundanker (4) in eines der Bauelemente (2, 3) zumindest teilweise, vorzugsweise vollständig, eingelassen ist und wobei die Dorne (6) des Verbundankers (4) in entsprechende Ausnehmungen in dem den Verbundanker (4) tragenden Bauelement (2, 3) eingreifen. Um die Montierbarkeit zu verbessern, sieht die Erfindung vor, dass der Verbundanker (4) mindestens zweiteilig ausgebildet und mit Mitteln (10) versehen ist oder mit diesen zusammenwirkt, mit denen die mindestens zwei Teile (4a, 4b) des Verbundankers (4) miteinander verbindbar sind. Des weiteren betrifft die Erfindung ein System von miteinander verbundenen Bauelementen.

The invention refers to a joining with multiple use, meant for ensuring the fast assembling of adjacent elements, for example panels made of varied materials such as wood, ferrous and nonferrous metals, glass, composite materials, plastics a.s.o., with simple or complex geometric forms and dimensions comprised in a large range, having numerous uses in the field of housing constructions, industrial and agricultural constructions, furniture making, packaging, motor car bodies, and everywhere plane or curved panels are used for delimitation of spaces or volumes, for example in the sea ship and railway wagon engineering, cereal silos, etc. The technical solution provides for a mobile joining and stiffening beam (3), which is of an oblong form, has in its section two prominences (1), placed on the body of a central element (x) and it penetrates with these prominences (1) into some grooves (c, d) practiced in the bodies which are to be joined (1, 2), placed, previously, adjacently, in the position groove, these grooves (c, d) being possible to be practiced on some frontal surfaces (a, b) of the elements (1, 2) which are to be joined, on their lateral surfaces (i, j), or both on their frontal (a, b) and lateral faces (i, j), being possible that they be also placed on separated bodies which shall be applied on a cove which can be a panel or other element.

Each panel is provided with grooves (301, 302, 301', 302') forming an insertion channel (303) when two panels (100) are laid next to each other along their transverse sides (105, 105') in a common laying plane (101). An extraneous locking element (210) is received by the insertion channel (303), the extraneous locking element (210) having a longitudinal dimension and a cross-section perpendicular to said longitudinal dimension which forms a cross with at least four cross arms. The corresponding cross arms of the insertion channel have two parallel flank surfaces (1603, 1604) each, and each of the cross arms is oriented diagonally in a plane perpendicular to the panel plane (102).
