본 발명은 플랫케이블 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 플랫케이블은 양 측단에 일정거리 이격되게 형성된 관형삽입부와, 상기 양측의 관형삽입부에 양단이 일체로 연결된 중앙삽입부로 이루어진 포드(Pod)와; 상기 관형삽입부 내부에 삽입되는 좌우 한 쌍의 지지부재와; 상기 중앙삽입부 내부에 삽입되는 다수의 전선을 포함하여 구성되되; 상기 포드의 중앙삽입부는 서로 격리된 다수개의 공간으로 구획되고, 일정깊이의 가압라인이 전선 사이에 형성되며, 격리된 공간 내부에 상기 전선 다수개가 한 개 층으로 수평하게 배치되어, 전선끼리 서로 꼬이거나 마찰되는 것을 최소화할 수 있는 효과가 있다.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein elektrisches Kabel für Kraftfahrzeuge mit einem als Flachbandleiter gebildeten und von einer Isolationsschicht umgebenen Energieleiter. Um die Anzahl von Kabelbäumen in Kraftfahrzeugen zu verringern wird vorgeschlagen, dass in der Isolationsschicht zumindest zwei weitere Leiter geführt sind.

A support member comprising a plurality of base members arranged in a longitudinal direction on a flexible elongated material each of the base members comprise an upper region, central region, and lower region, and wherein each of the base members are fixed to the flexible elongated material in the central region. The lower regions abut adjacent lower regions to define a minimum bend radius of the support member. There are also a plurality of corresponding covers that engages the upper region. The covers contact each other to reduce sag of the support member.

A massively wide ribbon cable is formed by laminating a plurality of conventionally formed ribbon cables onto a backing layer. The lamination process allows the production of ribbon cables much wider than currently available extrusion technology may produce. The cable maintains state of the art tolerances across the entire width of the cable.

This invention relates to flat cables (10) comprising a plurality of insulated conductors (14) bonded to a porous substrate (12). The porous substrate is impregnated with a polymeric material (13) capable of bonding to the insulation of the conductors. The strength of the bond can be varied by varying the amount of the impregnant. If it is desired to separate one or more of the conductors from the substrate, for example to form a branch off, a minimum amount of impregnant can be used.

The ''S'' circuit has an elongated run (68) and a ''S'' portion (43). The bus circuit has ''U'' elements (61) and a linear portion (58) with the signal lines of the ''U'' elements (61) connected to the signal lines of the bus circuit (80). The mainframe is formed of an array of circuit boards (100) bearing a wafer (90) and header (99) for the wafer which in turn is connected to ports (101) to which tab connectors (57, 56, Fig. 3) of the bus circuit and ''S'' circuit are connected.
