In one example, the method and apparatus include receiving multiple ACKs in a queue, the multiple ACKs being scheduled for transmission on a communication channel. The method and apparatus include generating a packet using two or more ACKs of the multiple ACKs that correspond to a first flow, wherein the packet includes Sequence Numbers (SNs) of each of the two or more ACKs, an ACK counter value indicating a number of ACKs in the packet, and a payload corresponding to contents of one of the two or more ACKs. The method and apparatus include transmitting the packet on the communication channel.

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing efficient downlink Hybrid Automatic Request (HARQ) feedback. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless device in a cellular communications system comprises receiving downlink control information from a radio access node in a first subframe T. The downlink control information comprises an indication of a HARQ timing offset K. The method further comprises transmitting downlink HARQ feedback to the radio access node in a subframe T+K. In this manner, HARQ feedback can be directly scheduled by the network, which in turn enables efficient HARQ feedback.

A method for communicating data carried in a frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) data frame in a transmission opportunity (TXOP) of a wireless local area network (LAN) access point (AP) is provided. The OFDMA data frame may be a downlink or uplink multi-user (MU) OFDMA data frame carrying data associated with a plurality of stations in respective frequency sub-bands. Cascaded downlink and uplink MU OFDMA data frames may be communicated in the same TXOP. A downlink frame may be communicated in a TXOP to carry frequency resource allocation information for an uplink OFDMA data frame communicated in the TXOP. An acknowledgement (ACK) frame may be communicated in a TXOP to acknowledge whether a downlink or uplink MU OFDMA data frame in the TXOP was successfully received.

Methods and apparatus for allocating multi-user resources are provided. In one aspect, the disclosure provides for a method of wireless communication with a plurality of wireless stations. The method comprises transmitting, by an access point, a first communication to a first wireless station, the first communication comprising an indication of a group of wireless stations from among the plurality of wireless stations, the group of wireless stations comprising the first wireless station. The method further comprises receiving, by the access point, a second communication from the first wireless station. The method further comprises transmitting, by the access point, a third communication to the group of wireless stations, the third communication comprising data for the group of wireless stations. In certain aspects, the third communication comprises a block acknowledgment of at least a portion of the second communication.
