An integrated manifold system maximizes space for the circuit board while enabling efficient control of one or more pneumatic devices. The manifold system includes a manifold block, a solenoid valve attached to the manifold block, and a circuit board for controlling the solenoid and other components of an air suspension system. The manifold block includes at least one service port for connecting to a pneumatic device such as an air spring, and a supply port for connecting to a compressor. The solenoid valve is mounted to the manifold block with its longitudinal length being generally parallel to the service port. The circuit board is mounted adjacent to the solenoid valve and oriented generally parallel to the solenoid and service port. A cover encloses the solenoid valve and the circuit board. In one embodiment, the solenoid valve is in fluid communication with the supply port. The solenoid valve is uniquely associated with the service port.

The invention is directed to a multilayer microfluidic probe (MFP) head (100). The head typically comprises a first (110) and second (120) layers facing each others, and at least one tubing port (182), extending from the first layer (110). The first layer comprises one or more via (112), whereby fluid communication is enabled through the first layer towards the second layer. The second layer comprises at least one microchannel (124), relaying fluid communication to an aperture (122). Such a multilayered MFP head is easier to fabricate than heads made with unitary construction. In particular, a microchannel can advantageously be engraved a groove (124) at the level of the interface between the two layers. The MFP head can further be interfaced with tubing using e.g. a standard fitting for tubing port. The invention has substantial potential for e.g. patterning continuous and discontinuous patterns of biomolecules on surfaces as well as for direct processing of resist materials in a non- contact mode.

A gas supply system that is easily assembled and/or installed and includes an initially flexible clamping system that allows for the gas supply system to adapt to the gas components. As the assembly of the gas components is complete, the clamping system becomes rigid thereby securing the gas components to a support rail. The slide lock gas delivery system allows a gas system component bottom surface to establish the sealing plane for the inlet and outlet seals independently. The lateral spacing for the gas component mounting holes float during assembly to reduce the opportunity for misalignment.
