Abstract:
A system and method for capturing resultant dust from power tool operation are disclosed. The system comprises a device that includes a housing with a substantially cylindrical shape. The housing has a first end that tapers to an opening for a tool bit and at least one suction port that opens into an interior volume of the housing. The housing has a second end configured to couple to a power tool. An air intake passage attaches to the exterior surface of the housing body such that an interior volume of the air intake passage connects to an interior volume of the housing. An exit passage is coupled to the air intake passage and is configured to couple to a vacuum.
Abstract:
There is provided a hole saw system comprising a hole saw including a bottom portion and a body portion; a mandrel, including apparatus for receiving the hole saw; wherein the hole saw includes a plurality of slot pairs, the slot pairs being offset from each other on the body portion allowing a tool to be inserted into one of the slot pairs for removal of a slug.
Abstract:
A sheet material cutting machine (10) includes a bristle bed (14) with generally vertically extending bristles having free ends defining a support surface for supporting sheet material to be cut and a carriage (32) movable over the bristle bed (14) and carrying at least one cutting tool (61 ) to selectively cut the sheet material. A vacuum cleaning system (28) provides vacuum at the carriage (32) to remove cutting debris as the cutting tool (61 ) is cutting the sheet material. Illustrated embodiments include providing the vacuum through a passage in the cutting tool (61) and providing the vacuum through a cavity in a presser foot (64).
Abstract:
A dust collection device for use with a drill which consists of a an open ended receptacle having one end dimensioned to sealingly engage the boss of the drill bit and the other end including an orifice sized to allow the drill bit to pass through there being a dust adhesive a wettable sponge attached to the external face surrounding the orifice. The sponge surface is pressed against the substrate to be drilled and the drill bit passes through the orifice and sponge. Drill dust is collected in the receptacle and the drilled hole is wiped with the sponge to collect the remaining dust.
Abstract:
In a device for limiting the advance of a drill during a drilling operation, which can be used in conjunction with a hand drill (15) or with an automatic manufacturing machine, the device comprising a housing (2) with a stop cage (2a) and a spindle (3) mounted rotatably and axially displaceably in the housing, and a stop (9) which is adjustable in the axial direction being arranged for limiting the advance, the invention consists in that the stop cage (2a) comprises a chip breakes (13) for breaking the chips, with a housing-side end and a free end, in such a way that it extends approximately parallel and directly adjacent to the workpiece surface and approximately radially from the outside towards the drilling tool (stepped drill bit 12) in such a way that its free end almost touches the countersink (12b) . Damage to the surface of workpieces is prevented by the invention, so that corresponding refinishing is avoided. Moreover, the removal of the coiled chips from the drilling tool previously necessary after each drilling cycle is dispensed with.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A pipe tapping device (100) having a rotatable valve conduit (31) that brings a cutting edge of a cutter (134) into contact with a pipe (P) for cutting a preselected portion out of the pipe (P).
Abstract:
A device for removing chips produced by the machining head (7) of a machine tool is disclosed. The device comprises at least one pressurised liquid supply pipe (1) connected to dispensing means (2) for spraying the machine tool so that the liquid carries the chips into a discharge means (3). Said dispensing means consist of at least one multidirectional nozzle (2) for spraying the liquid throughout the space to be sprayed which includes the main areas where chips fall.
