Abstract:
Polyester materials, methods for making polyesters materials, and uses of the polyester materials in binder materials and articles of manufacture are disclosed. In one embodiment, a process is provided for preparing a polyester solution, including mixing monomers of at least one organic acid containing at least three carboxylic groups and at least one multi-hydroxyl alcohol containing at least three hydroxyl groups to form a reaction mixture, heating the reaction mixture to a first temperature, polymerizing the monomers at the first temperature until reaching an acid value from about 200 to about 400 mg KOH/g, adjusting the temperature to a second temperature less than the first temperature, and forming the polyester solution. The polyester materials may be mixed with cross-linking materials to form binder materials. The binder material may then be used to form articles of manufacture.
Abstract:
A thermally conductive article including a polymeric layer comprising a nonwoven polymeric material. In particular, a flexible thermally conductive polymeric layer comprising an epoxy resin and a long-strand polymeric nonwoven material embedded in the epoxy resin. The polymeric nonwoven material may be heat stable at about 280C.

Abstract:
Abstract:
A fabric for a seam region of an inflatable air-bag, the fabric comprising fibres formed from polyester and having an elongation at break of around 12 % to 20%, and also having an instantaneous thermal creep above 0.5 % at 100 °C.
Abstract:
A method for forming a suspension element for an acoustic driver. The method includes placing an unimpregnated fabric formed from a monofilament polymer fiber in a mold, the monofilament fiber characterized by a softening point and a melting point; heating the mold and the unimpregnated fabric to a temperature greater than the softening point and less than the melting point; and cooling the mold.
Abstract:
Mixtures are described which contain reaction products of one or more amines with one or more epoxides and additionally isocyanates. Applying such mixtures to textile fabrics, especially polyester fiber fabrics, reduces or prevents unpleasant sweaty odor after physical exercise. The effects are very durable to laundering.
Abstract:
Heavy metal-free compostable polymers, composites and articles anaerobically biodegrade in landfills in a relatively short time. Heavy metal-free composite polymeric articles and sheets such as indoor or outdoor signs, billboards, banners, images, protective barriers, backdrops and wall coverings have very useful service durations and yet are landfill biodegradable.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of composite structures, overmolded composites structures and processes for their preparation, particularly it relates to the field of polyamide composite structures. The disclosed composite structures have a surface, which surface has at least a portion made of a surface polyamide resin composition, and comprise a fibrous material selected from non-woven structures, textiles, fibrous battings and combinations thereof, said fibrous material being impregnated with a matrix resin composition, wherein the matrix polyamide resin composition and the surface resin composition is selected from polyamide compositions comprising a blend of (A) one or more fully aliphatic polyamides selected from group (I) polyamides, and (B) one or more semiaromatic polyamides selected from group (II) polyamides having a melting point of at least 280°C.
