Abstract: A user feedback system for a user of a delivery device within a delivery ecosystem comprises an obtaining processor adapted to obtain one or more user factors indicative of a state of the user; an estimation processor adapted to calculate an estimation of user state based upon one or more of the obtained user factors; and a feedback processor adapted to select a feedback action for at least a first device within the delivery ecosystem, responsive to the estimation of user state, expected to alter the estimated state of a user.

The at least one light pipe comprises one or more of the following features: the ratio of the sensor-side surface (102) and the encoder-side surface (104) being equal to or larger than about 1.0; the ratio of the surface (24) of a discreet encoding target (22) of the rotary encoder system and the encoder-side surface (104) being equal to or larger than 1.0; the encoder-side surface (104) having a roughness with an average feature size in the range of the wavelength of the radiation emitted by the at least one optical sensor (16, 16'); the sensor-side surface forms a single lens face (26) being moulded as part of the optical guiding means (10), wherein the single lens face (26) is formed as collimating optics.

Abstract: An applicator can include a dispenser for dispensing an amount of a therapeutic composition, which can include an amount of sugar or sugar alcohol and an amount of an alkalizing agent. In some cases, the alkalizing agent can include L-Arginine. In some cases, 75% or more of the composition by weight has a comedogenicity rating of 3 or less on a scale of 0-5. The dispenser can also have a power supply configured to provide power through a contact tip of the dispenser to provide nerve stimulation, such as using vibration, heating, cooling, and/or electrical stimulation.

Abstract: A ventilator communication system includes an electromyography ("EMG") device including EMG electrodes configured to generate electrical signals based on muscular respiratory activity of the patient, and a ventilator. The EMG device is configured to generate a patient respiratory effort waveform based on the electrical signals and analyze the patient respiratory effort waveform. The EMG device includes a first near-field magnetic induction ("NFMI") transceiver configured to generate at least one transmission signal derived from the analysis of the patient respiratory effort waveform and transmit the at least one transmission signal on at least one NFMI communication channel. The ventilator is configured to provide breathing assistance to the patient, wherein the ventilator includes a second NFMI transceiver configured to receive the at least one transmission signal from the EMG device and a controller configured to adjust the breathing assistance provided to the patient based on the at least one transmission signal.

Abstract: A medical stopcock assembly with position detection includes a medical stopcock and a sensor. The medical stopcock may include a main body and a valve body. The valve body may define a valve passageway and be moveable relative to the main body between a first position where a first input port and an output port are in fluid communication via the valve passageway, a second position where a second input port and the output port are in fluid communication via the valve passageway, and a third position where the second input port and the first input port are in fluid communication via the valve passageway. An external surface of the valve body may include a position structure. The sensor may be configured to sense the position structure to determine whether the valve body is in the first position, the second position, or the third position.

The controller is pre-programmed to automatically operate the system to perform one or more standard blood processing procedures selected by an operator by input to the touchscreen, and is configured to be further programmed by the operator to perform additional blood processing procedures.

Abstract: Provided is a system comprising at least one inhaler. Each of the at least one inhaler comprises a use determination system configured to determine at least one value of a usage parameter relating to use of the respective inhaler by a subject. The system further comprises a user interface and a processing module. The user interface is configured to enable user-inputting of an indication of a status of a respiratory disease being experienced by the subject. The processing module is configured to control the user interface to issue a prompt to input the indication based on the at least one value.
