Abstract: A system for injecting medium into a patient includes an automated injector including a reservoir, an ejector for ejecting a volume of fluid medium from the reservoir, and an actuator coupled to the ejector. An input device includes a syringe housing, a plunger, a circuit board coupled to a first component of the input device, a plunger position sensor, a battery, and a transmitter for sending an input device action signal to the automated injector. The input device action signal is based at least in part on a signal sent from plunger position sensor. A diversion apparatus is disposed downstream from the reservoir and is configured to receive at least a first portion of the volume of the fluid medium ejected from the reservoir.

Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, there is provided an aerosol generating device (100) configured to generate an aerosol for inhalation by a user, comprising: a biometric reader (114) configured to acquire biometric data from a user; a memory (130) configured to store encrypted biometric data; a sensor (124) configured to measure a physical characteristic of the aerosol generating device (100); and a controller (118) configured to generate an encryption key based on the measured physical characteristic and decrypt the stored biometric data using the encryption key; wherein the controller (118) is configured to enable or disable an operation of the aerosol generating device (100) based on a comparison between the biometric data acquired by the biometric reader (114) and the decrypted biometric data.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a switch assembly for an electronic system of a drug delivery device (1). The switch assembly comprises a chassis (19) supporting a PCBA (110) which has a distal surface comprising at least a first electrical contact (23a, 33a), a second electrical contact (23b, 33b) and a third electrical contact (23c, 33c), a ring (21, 31). Abstract: A system and method for managing a respiratory condition of a user is disclosed. The system includes an oxygen concentrator having a compression system configured to generate oxygen enriched air for delivery to the user. A physiological sensor is configured to collect physiological data of the user. The physiological data is of one or more data types. An operational sensor is configured to collect operational data of the oxygen concentrator during operation of the oxygen concentrator. The operational data is of one or more data types. A processor is configured to receive the collected physiological data and the operational data and compute a summary parameter for values of each data type. The processor is also configured to compute a health score from the summary parameter values.

Abstract: A resuscitation management system may include a sensible element that may be configured to be mounted on a first side of an outer surface of a resuscitation bag. The sensible element may include one of an electromagnet and a permanent magnet. The resuscitation management system may further include a sensing element that may be a magnetometer that may be configured to be mounted on a second side of the outer surface of the bag. The magnetometer may be configured to measure and generate an output signal indicating a magnitude of the magnetic field generated by the sensible element. The resuscitation management system may further include a processing unit that may be coupled to the sensing element. The processing unit may be configured to associate the output signals of the sensing element with compressions of the bag and calculate a breathing rate based on the compressions of the bag.

Abstract: A security tag can prohibit unauthorized usage of a device or product. The device may include an electronic nicotine delivery systems ("ENDS") device, which may include aerosol delivery devices such as smoking articles that produce aerosol. The security tag can prevent usage until authorized. Attempts at usage without authorization can result in the device being unusable. The authorization may include identity confirmation or age verification.

Abstract: A non-invasive system and method are provided. Brain activity of a user is detected using a non-invasive brain interface when the user is exposed to an external stimulus. The user is determined to be negatively primed by the external stimulus based on the detected brain activity. An alert that the user is being negatively primed by the external stimulus is automatically provided. A tagged training session may be automatically provided to the user in response determining that the user has a negative mental state, thereby promoting a positive mental state of the user. A training session list containing the tagged training session may be automatically modified based on the determined mental state of the user.
