    Abstract: Described is an ultrasonic welding device (100) and a method of operation of an ultrasonic welding device (100) comprising a vibrating group (10) having a resonance frequency, said vibrating group (10) being configured to transmit energy in the form of ultrasonic vibration to a piece to be welded. The ultrasonic welding device (100) further comprises a driving group (11) connected to the vibrating group (10) and designed to impart a vibration to the latter; said vibration having a frequency which can be modulated; said driving group (11) being configured to set said frequency to an initial frequency at each start thereof. The method of operation comprises a start-up step (A) comprising activating said driving group (11) such that said driving group (11) imparts to said vibrating group (10) a vibration at said initial frequency. The method further comprises a verification step (B) comprising verifying whether said initial frequency is equal to said resonance frequency. If this verification is negative, the method provides an adaptation phase (C) which modulates said frequency, starting from said initial frequency, up to a modulated frequency value which is equal to said resonance frequency. Moreover, the method comprises a setting step (D) wherein said initial frequency is assigned a value equal to said modulated frequency. The verification, adaptation and setting steps are repeated cyclically.

    Abstract: Described is an ultrasonic welding machine (100). The manual welding machine (100) comprises a welding assembly (10) configured to be placed in contact with a piece to be welded and operable to ultrasonically weld a piece with which it is placed in contact, a support assembly (20) to which the welding assembly (10) is connected to be supported by it, and a control assembly (30) connected to the welding assembly (10) and the support assembly (20) and configured to detect a stress exerted between the welding assembly (10) and the support assembly (20). In particular, the control assembly (30) is further configured or programmed to inhibit the actuation of said welding assembly (10) and/or deactivate said welding assembly (10) if said stress does not satisfy a predefined condition.
