Abstract: A polymer interlayer with improved acoustic properties. The polymer interlayer comprises a first polymer layer, a second polymer layer, and a third polymer layer. The first polymer layer is positioned between the second polymer layer and the third polymer layer. The first polymer layer is formed from a resin comprising polyvinyl acetate (PVAc). The first polymer layer has a Tg of less than about 20°C and a peak tan δ greater than about 2.0.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a polymer composition (I) comprising at least the following components: (A) 87.00 to 99.79 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition (I) of a specific polymer, (B) 0.20 to 10 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition (I) of a specific copolymer of ethylene and (C) 0.01 to 3.00 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition (I) of a compound according to Formula (a), whereby components (A), (B) and (C) add up to 100 wt.-%. In addition, the present invention refers to a photovoltaic module comprising at least one layer comprising polymer composition (I), to a method for improving the storage stability and/or transport stability of polymer (A) and to the use of components (B)and (C) for improving the storage stability and/or transport stability of a polymer (A).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a polypropylene composition comprising - 10 to 50 wt.% of recycled polypropylene (R-PP) and/or linear polypropylene (L- PP); - 40 to 89.95 wt.% of a high melt strength polypropylene (HMS-PP) having an F30 melt strength of more than 25.0 cN and a v30 melt extensibility of more than 205 mm/s, wherein the F30 melt strength and the v30 melt extensibility are determined according to ISO 16790:2005; and - 0.05 to 10 wt.% of a nucleating agent (NA); a foamed sheet formed from the polypropylene composition; an article comprising the foamed sheet and a process comprising the step of forming the polypropylene composition. Furthermore, the invention is further directed to the usage of the polypropylene composition for the formation of foamed sheets.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structures that include a coextruded foam layer containing at least one of polypropylene and polyethylene and a crosslinked, coextruded cap layer containing at least one of polypropylene and polyethylene. The multilayer foam structure can be obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer and at least one cap composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.

Abstract: An article intended to come into contact with the ground, and the article comprising a laminate comprising at least two superposed portions comprising: a first portion (FP) made of a first rubber composition (FC); and a second portion (SP) made of a second rubber composition (SC), and the SP positioned farther from the ground than the FP; wherein the amount in phr of the reinforcing filler in the SC is lower than that in the FC; wherein the second rubber composition (SC) is such that the reinforcing filler predominately comprises a reinforcing inorganic filler; wherein the ratio of the amount in phr of the plasticizing agent to the reinforcing filler in the SC is higher than that in the FC; and wherein the average glass transition temperature of combination of the elastomer matrix and the plasticizing agent in the SC is higher than that in the FC.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a film for packaging a product, particularly to an improved multilayer film having recycled polyolefin. Among the objectives of the present invention, it is desired to provide a flexible multilayer film which incorporates higher levels of recycled high-density polyethylene resin. The present inventors have found that at least one of the abovementioned objectives is achievable by a multilayer film having a first polyethylene layer, a second polyethylene sealant layer and sandwiched therebetween a core layer having recycled HDPE.
