Abstract: Techniques for providing custom formed panels for transport structures including vehicles and aircraft are disclosed. In one aspect of the disclosure, a panel for a transport structure includes a first face sheet, a second face sheet arranged opposite the first face sheet, the second face sheet comprising a different geometrical profile than the first face sheet to define a space between the first and second face sheets having a variable thickness, a core configured to occupy the space. In another aspect, a node can be additively manufactured to form the custom panels by engaging opposing face sheets. The node has an inlet port for providing a foam-like substance into the space between the face sheets to thereafter solidify into a core.

Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft eine mehrschichtige Kunststofffolie, insbesondere eine mehrschichtige Kunststoffverbundfolie, vorzugsweise eine mehrschichtige Kunststoffverpackungsfolie, auf Basis von Kunststoffrezyklat (Recyclingkunststoff), insbesondere auf Basis von aus Abfall stammendem Kunststoffrezyklat, mit einen Kunststoffrezyklat-Anteil von mindestens 80 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Kunststofffolie, und mit Sperrschichteigenschaften (Barriereeigenschaften) gegenüber Wasserdampf und/oder Gasen (vorzugsweise Sauerstoff), bevorzugt mit Sperrschichteigenschaften (Barriereeigenschaften) gegenüber Wasserdampf und Gasen (vorzugsweise Sauerstoff), sowie die Verwendung dieser mehrschichtigen Kunststofffolie, insbesondere als Verpackungsmaterial. Bei dem Kunststoffrezyklat handelt es sich vorzugsweise um Post-Consumer-Kunststoffrezyklat (PCR-Kunststoffrezyklat), insbesondere PCR-Recyclingfolien.

Abstract: An engineered wood based siding, cladding or panel with a pre-consolidated fines layer (PCF) applied to the top of the main strand matrix layers to minimize telegraphing and provide an improved surface appearance. The PCF is consolidated prior to application to the surface of the strand matrix or mat, and takes the place of a loose fines layer. The PCF prevents the loss of fines into the strand matrix, effectively keeping the fines at the surface so they can effectively and efficiently function to prevent or eliminate strand telegraphing, and provide a smooth finished surface for the product.
