Abstract: The invention relates to refrigeration units for cooling the interior of a trailer or vehicle, related software, systems and methods for deploying and managing such units. The unit (10) comprises a refrigerating system for mounting to the trailer or vehicle. The unit further comprises plural rechargeable batteries (22), and a battery rack (20), arranged to receive at least one rechargeable battery (22) so as to allow it to be swapped into and out of the rack to provide adaptive battery capacity. A power management system is arranged to receive DC power from the plural batteries and deliver power to a compressor of the refrigeration system. A controller is arranged to control the refrigeration system to cool the interior to a predetermined temperature.

Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Einstellung einer Außenluftzufuhr in einen Innenraum eines Fahrzeuges (1), wobei anhand erfasster Signale eines im Innenraum angeordneten Schadstoffsensors (2) während eines Fahrbetriebes des Fahrzeuges (1) kontinuierlich eine Innenraumschadstoffbelastung ermittelt wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass eine Schadstoffbelastung einer Außenluft auf einem dem Fahrzeug (1) vorausliegenden Fahrstreckenabschnitt prognostiziert wird, wobei die Außenluftzufuhr in Abhängigkeit der prognostizierten Schadstoffbelastung der Außenluft automatisch geregelt wird.

Abstract: A wireless system (100) to generate a thermal comfort map of a vehicle (102) comprising a plurality of high precision sensor devices (104) and data acquisition device (106). The sensor devices (104) are configured to measure a plurality of parameters such as air temperature, air velocity, relative humidity, globe temperature, surface temperature, surface heat flux, solar radiation and net radiation simultaneously. Preferably, at least one of the sensor devices (104) is embedded in a windshield of the vehicle (102). The data acquisition device comprising a transceiver unit (114), a storage unit (116) and an analysis unit (118). The data acquisition device is configured to calculate data including mean radiant temperature, operative temperature, equivalent temperature, Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) and Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied (PPD) based on the parameters and generate the thermal comfort map of the vehicle (102) based on the data calculated and the parameters measured.
