A liquefied natural gas (LNG) transport vessel for transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) is disclosed which is capable of storing excess boil off gas BOG until needed for combustion in one or more combustion apparatus on the vessel. A method for managing the delivery of the BOG to the combustion apparatus is also described. The LNG vessel includes at least one insulated LNG storage tank which stores LNG. A first stage LNG receiver receives and stores BOG from the at least one LNG storage tank. A second stage or high pressure BOG storage tank receives compressed BOG from the receiver and stores the BOG as needed for combustion by one or more combustion apparatus of the vessel. A pressure regulator allows BOG gas to be delivered to the combustion apparatus if there is sufficient pressure in the high pressure storage tank to passively deliver the BOG at a predetermined delivery pressure. If the pressure in the high pressure BOG storage tank is insufficient to passively delivery the BOG to combustion apparatus, then a combustion apparatus compressor may be used to actively increase the pressure in BOG such that the BOG is delivered at the necessary delivery pressure. If there is still insufficient BOG in the high pressure BOG storage tank, then it may be necessary to supply supplemental auxiliary fuel to meet the needs of the combustion apparatus.

The floating structure includes: the fuel tank for fuel gas provided in the hull of the floating structure; and the cargo loading section positioned at the upper portion of the fuel tank for gas fuel on the upper deck of the floating structure.

A marine drive system utilizing a multiphase induction motor (15) for driving the propulsion propeller of the drive from a battery power supply. The number of phases defined by the motor stator winding, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, is at least four (18a-18m) and the windings are excited by a corresponding plurality of inverters (14a-14d) connected one each to the windings from the power supply batteries for exciting the windings. Harmonic currents in the windings are effectively suppressed by providing the drive motor in a configuration having high leakage reactance in the stator. The windings may be arranged as multiples of three-phase windings. In the illustrated embodiment, the inverters are arranged to define three-phase half-bridge inverters for exciting three sets of three-phase windings of the motor stator.

본 발명은 양의 미세기포를 이용한 이동식 조류제거장치에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 종래의 공기압축기 구동방식이 아닌, 초절전형 미세기포 발생부를 활용하여 부상처리에 필요한 양의 미세기포를 제공하게 되므로 대용량의 가압탱크 및 컴프레서를 필요로 하는 종래의 조류제거 선박에 비해 크기가 작아지고, 무게가 감소하여 이동성이 개선될 뿐만 아니라, 미세기포를 형성함에 있어서, 음전하를 갖는 이물과의 부착력을 높일 수 있도록 전기분해를 이용하여 물에 양전하를 형성시키고, 형성된 양전하를 띠는 물과 공기의 고속 충돌방식을 사용하여 낮은 압력에서도 양의 미세 기포를 만들 수 있어, 이를 통해 오염물의 접촉효율 및 부상력을 높여 짧은 시간에 오염물을 효과적으로 처리하고, 잉여 미세기포가 부상된 부유물을 높은 농도로 농축시켜 슬러지 발생량을 감소시킬 수 있는 이동식 조류제거장치에 관한 것이다.

Various embodiments of the invention provide a buoy and system for monitoring divers and other underwater objects. In many embodiments, the buoy has capabilities to monitor a diver, obtain position information about the diver and use that information to move itself to an effective range for continued monitoring. The buoy can connect and communicate with a communication device attached to a diver to communicate, position, biometric and other data. In one embodiment, the buoy comprises a propulsion system for propelling the buoy, an acoustic communication module for communicating with the diver and a propulsion controller for controlling the propulsion system to move to the effective range. Other embodiments provide a power generation system using a power generating buoy comprising an inertial weight, an energy converter and a connecting linkage. The system may comprise a single or multiple buoys and can include an electrical storage such as an electrical battery.
