The disclosure relates to a process to produce a hydrogen-rich stream (H) and a carbon dioxide-rich stream (I) from the stream of flue gas (21) of an FCC regenerator (7) of an FCC unit operated in partial combustion mode, the process being remarkable in that it comprises: (b) recovering from said FCC regenerator the flue gas; and (d) compressing it to provide a gas mixture, said step of compressing being carried out at a pressure of at least 0.4 MPa, and at a temperature to the range 200°C to 500°C; (e) subjecting the gas mixture obtained at the step (d) to a water-gas shift reaction to convert the CO into CO2 and H2 on a catalyst with the adsorption of CO2 on an adsorbent at a pressure ranging from 0.4 to 8.0 MPa and recovering a hydrogen stream; (f) regenerating said adsorbent of the previous step to obtain a CO2 stream.

The production of Syngas in said gasification reactor (20) is carried out at a reaction temperature comprised between about 1200 °C and about 1300 °C as a result of a forced injection of combustion air in said gasification reactor (20) and of a generation of whirling movements and/or turbulences of said combustion air in said gasification reactor (20). The invention also relates to a cogeneration plant (100) with gasification of organic material.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren (10) zur Vergasung von Biomasse (B) sowie eine dazu eingerichtete Vorrichtung (11). Das Verfahren erfolgt in drei Verfahrensstufen (12, 13, 14). In einer ersten Verfahrensstufe (12) wird in einer Oxidationszone (ZO) ein biogener Reststoff (Biomasse) und ein sauerstoffhaltiges Gas, beispielsweise Luft (L) unterstöchiometrisch oxidiert und ein Rohgas (R) sowie ein koksartiger, kohlenstoffhaltiger Reststoff (RK) erzeugt. Das Rohgas (R) und der kohlenstoffhaltige Reststoff (RK) werden in einer zweiten Verfahrensstufe (13) in einer Vergasungszone (ZV) teilweise vergast. Die Vergasungszone (ZV) wird indirekt beheizt. Dabei entsteht Aktivkohle (AK) sowie ein heißes Prozessgas (PH). Diese Stoffe werden in einer dritten Verfahrensstufe (14) in einer Kühlzone (ZK) bis auf höchstens 50 Grad Celsius abgekühlt. Dabei findet ein Adsorptionsprozess statt. Teer aus dem heißen Prozessgas (PH) lagert sich während der Abkühlung an der Aktivkohle (AK) an. Dadurch wird im Anschluss an die dritte Verfahrensstufe (14) ein Reingas (PR) erhalten, das im Wesentlichen teerfrei ist. Die angereicherte Aktivkohle (AK) kann zumindest teilweise zur Beheizung der Vergasungszone (ZV) verbrannt werden.

An apparatus and a method for replenishing a pressure swing adsorption system with an adsorbent is disclosed in the present disclosure. The apparatus comprises a hopper arrangement and a mechanism. The hopper arrangement is disposed about an operative top of the pressure swing adsorption system. The hopper arrangement is in fluid communication with the pressure swing adsorption system via an aperture. The hopper arrangement accommodates and selectively supplies adsorbent into the pressure swing adsorption system when the amount of the adsorbent within the pressure swing adsorption system is reduced below a predetermined threshold quantity due to adsorbent escape; and/or the purity of the target fluid emanating out of the pressure swing adsorption system is reduced below a predetermined threshold purity level. The mechanism selectively controls the flow of adsorbent into the pressure swing adsorption system.

Durch den Einsatz eines Adsorbers (15) mit einer metallischen Oberflä- che (17) ist es möglich, die im Synthesegasstrom (3) eines Brennstoffvergasers (5) enthaltenen Metalle kostengünstig und mit geringem Aufwand aus dem Synthesegasstrom (3) abzuschei- den. This invention concerns a method for recovering carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide from Fischer-Tropsch off-gas by feeding Fischer-Tropsch off-gas through a column comprising an adsorbent bed, and discharging effluent, optionally rinsing the column and the adsorbent bed by feeding NG and discharging effluent until at least 60% of the carbon monoxide that was present in the bed is discharged, pressurizing the column and adsorbent bed with NG, rinsing the column and the adsorbent bed by feeding NG until at least 50% of the carbon dioxide present at the commencement of this rinsing step is discharged, rinsing the column and adsorbent bed by feeding a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen, pressurizing the column and adsorbent bed by feeding a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen. With this method a feed comprising at least 50 vol% carbon monoxide can be produced. Furthermore, methane and carbon dioxide at a high pressure can be recovered from the Fischer- Tropsch gas. This can be fed to a gasifier or a reformer. In a preferred embodiment a gas comprising at least 80 vol% hydrogen is produced as well.
