Compounds [compounds (L)] comprising at least one monocyclic, polycyclic or polycondensed aromatic moiety [moiety (A*)], wherein: at least one carbon atom of moiety (A*) is substituted with a fluoropolyoxyalkene chain [chain (R f )], said chain (R f ) comprising: a) a fluorocarbon segment having ether linkages in the main chain and b) at least one hydroxyl group and wherein: at least one other carbon atom of moiety (A*) is substituted with an electron-withdrawing group and mixtures thereof are herein disclosed. Disclosed are also a process for manufacturing compounds (L), a method for lubricating MRM comprising using compounds (L), a lubricant composition comprising one or more compounds (L) and a method for manufacturing a composition (C).

The lubricating oil composition may also include acetone. A process for lubricating an object includes the steps of: providing a lubricating oil composition comprising an antibacterial composition, a corrosion preventive, petroleum naphtha, optionally a solvent, optionally acetone, and the balance being an oil; and applying the lubricating oil composition to a surface of the object.

The present invention refers to a lubricant additive, which is intended for lubricating of at least two steel machine parts, which are engaged with each other by means of sliding or rolling relative to each other, and moreover also to a lubricant containing such additive. A chemical structure of such additive is based on a linear molecule of alkane with preferably 10 to 20 carbon atoms, in which all hydrogen atoms, or all hydrogen atoms except of the terminal one, which is bound to the terminal carbon atom, are substituted with a fluorine atom or with such functional group on the basis of fluorine, which leads to oleophobicity of such substituted molecule, and wherein simultaneously at least one polar functional group is bound to at least one terminal carbon atom in order to assure adhesiveness of the additive towards the iron oxides on the surface of each lubricated machine part by simultaneously enabling sliding along the surface of the said machine part.

The present invention relates to compositions having broad effectiveness against bacteria and fungi, which comprise (a) an iodopropynylbutyl compound and (b) one or more formaldehyde donor compounds, the formaldehyde donor compounds being N-formals, O-formals and/or a combination thereof. The compositions are also stable and effective in the form of liquid concentrates. The present invention also relates to the use of such compositions in industrial products and to industrial products which comprise these compositions.
