Abstract: A method of determining glucose values during continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) measurements includes providing a CGM device including a sensor, a memory, and a processor; applying a constant voltage potential to the sensor; measuring a primary current signal resulting from the constant voltage potential and storing the measured primary current signal in the memory; applying a probing potential modulation sequence to the sensor; measuring probing potential modulation current signals resulting from the probing potential modulation sequence and storing measured probing potential modulation current signals in the memory; determining an initial glucose concentration based on a conversion function and a ratio of measured probing potential modulation current signals; determining a connection function value based on the primary current signal and a plurality of the probing potential modulation current signals; and determining a final glucose concentration based on the initial glucose concentration and the connection function value. Other aspects are disclosed.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described herein for various embodiments of using a sample analysis system to analyze a sample of bodily fluid from a user to determine parameters associated with the user including states of hydration, dehydration, rehydration, electrolyte loss, wellness, recovery, and the like. In some embodiments, the methods disclosed can be implemented using a device worn by a user, and operatively coupled to a sample analysis system configured to collect a sample of bodily fluid, and measure and analyze the bodily fluid to determine a property of the bodily fluid and/or a physiological/wellness parameter (e.g., degree of hydration, electrolyte losses, perspiration rate, etc.) of the user.

Abstract: A biosensor system is configured to establish a steady-state condition and alternate between the steady-state condition and a non-steady-state condition to determine an analyte concentration. The biosensor system includes an electrode system having at least one working electrode and one counter electrode. The working electrode is covered with an analyte catalyzing layer for converting an analyte into measurable species. A membrane system encompasses the electrode system and comprises an analyte permeable membrane. The membrane has an analyte permeability with lower analyte solubility than an analyte solubility outside the membrane. The membrane is configured to trap a measureable species within the membrane such that a steady-state of the measurable species resulting from the analyte is established near the electrode surface. A bias circuit is configured to apply a potential modulation sequence to the working electrode to cause alternating of steady-state and non-steady-state conditions within the electrode system for analyte concentration determination.

Abstract: An ion selective electrode ("ISE") assembly may be installed within a sample path of a biological testing system to measure ion concentration within sample fluid flowing through the sample path. A transducer membrane is placed within a housing and positioned to contact the sample path. A threaded portion is advanced into a socket of the housing and forces the membrane against a sealing portion of the sample path to prevent retention of sample fluid within the housing after testing. Sealing may be accomplished without adhesives or sealants and instead relies upon mechanical pressure of the threaded portion. Another implementation includes a reference measuring electrode and several ion measuring electrodes combined into a single housing. Another implementation includes a reference measuring electrode and several ion measuring electrodes combined into a cartridge that includes a sample well instead of a sample path.

Abstract: Viability of cancer cells (e.g., glioblastoma cells) can be reduced by administering mannose to the cancer cells; and applying an alternating electric field with a frequency between 100 and 500 kHz to the cancer cells. Susceptibility to treatment with an alternating electric field can be determined by measuring uptake of a PKM2 probe (e.g., [18F]DASA) before and after treatment with an alternating electric field. Notably, experiments show that the combination of mannose and the alternating electric field produces a synergistic anti-glioblastoma result.
