Abstract:
The invention consist in the creation of a procedure to insert a personalized DEDICATION, MESSAGE indicated by the customer in the context of a pre-existent magnetic support and/or video-compact disc, dvd, dat, minidisk, music and video cassette, pre-existent and already containing pieces of video and/or voice, dedication and/or message obtained by means of a specially provided software set to rearrange in video, vocally and phonetically, the voice and/or the images of the author of the piece recorded on a magnetic and/or video support, or rather of the generic customer, also in a language different from the original one, present in the magnetic support.
Abstract:
A system that relates annotations captured at an event and continuous signal recordings, such as video recordings, of the event in such a way that once the recordings and annotations are distributed to a remote site, an operator does not have to manually identify the time intervals of individual segments that are identified in the annotations. Prior to distribution to the remote sites, the annotations that are collected for the event (124) are processed to identify a series of time segments, including a time interval of the signal recordings (140). The time reference for these identified time intervals is based on the signal recordings themselves, for example, being relative to a time reference marks that are introduced into the video recordings before they are distributed to the remote site, or being based on a recorded time signal. At the remote sites, the time references for the video recordings are determined, for example by locating the time reference marks, and the distributed annotations are used to automatically segment the video recordings.
Abstract:
An edit data creating device for creating edit data defining an edit to combine edit materials in an arbitrary way, wherein the position of an edit material on the edit data is moved, the end point of a first adjacent edit material adjacent to the moved edit material on the upstream side of the moved edit material along the time axis of the edit data and the start point of a second adjacent edit material adjacent to the moved edit material on the downstream side of the moved edit material along the time axis of the edit data are adjusted according to the amount of movement of the moved edit material, and thereby the continuity between even the moved edit material and the adjacent edit materials is maintained.
Abstract:
A device for inputting the title of a recording medium readily. When a capturing key of a tuner unit (1) is depressed, a first system controller (7) stores the text information, received currently by an FM multiplexed text broadcasting receiving tuner (3), in a capturing buffer region (5B) of a memory (5). When the disk title of an MD-MO (11) is to be inputted, a title inputting mode is established, and the disk is selected as an input target unit. Thereafter, when a call key and an ENTER key are depressed, the first system controller (7) stored the captured text information in a title inputting region (5C) of the memory (5) in such a way that the information corresponds to the disk which is the input target unit. Thereafter, when the ENTER key and a title inputting key are depressed, the first system controller (7) sends the contents of the title inputting region (5C) to an MD recorder unit (10) and a second system controller (17) records the contents in a UTOC area of the MD-MO (11) before the ejection.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a system for processing and recording digitized component television signals onto analog video tape. Such a system includes a digital color transformation matrix for generating a digital luminance signal, a first digital chrominance signal, and a second digital chrominance signal. The signals are then sample rate reduced, interleaved, and stored in a storage subsystem (72), which may include a disk array. The storage subsystem allows a constant rate, uninterrupted data stream to be produced. To record the signals onto video tape, the signal data is read from the storage subsystem and separated. A series of digital signal processing elements, coupled to the digital luminance signal (read from the storage subsystem), are used to generate a digital filtered and frequency modulated luminance signal. A second series of digital signal processing elements, coupled to the first and second digital chrominance signals (also read from the storage subsystem), are used to generate a digital low pass filtered and amplitude modulated composite chrominance signal. These signals are combined, then converted into an analog composite recording signal compatible with a predetermined VCR standard (74). The system may also include a controlled video tape mechanism (78) which allows frame accurate recording so that a single, long program may be recorded as a series of concatenated shorter length clips.
Abstract:
The system according to the present invention receives a signal from an audio/video reproducer (K) of pre-recorded music pieces and through a video mixer (2) mixes said signal, after a choice performed by means of the audio/video distributor (1), with the images coming from a telecamera (6) for extemporary shootings, so as to allow the realization of videocassettes recorded on videorecorders (7, 8 and 3). Furthermore, the system according to the present invention allows the direct transmission of said mixed and superimposed images onto video projectors (10) and/or monitors (11, 12, 13) and the production of audiocassettes with the audio mixe r (4) and the double plate (14).
Abstract:
A method of producing a video recording so as to facilitate a comparison of the performance of an expert (1) with that of a less accomplished player (2) in a sporting technique such as a golf swing. Two video recordings are made and are then edited together using a split screen method to produce a composite video with the techniques synchronised as appropriate.
Abstract:
Collecting images of a patron in an entertainment venue is performed by facial recognition of the patron's face within the images, simplifying the storage (37) and distribution of the images (39) for a patron. In order to enhance the reliability of the facial recognition system (31), information about the patron (33) that is not directly related to most facial recognition systems (31), including clothes, height, other associated people, use of glasses and jewelry, disposition of facial hair, and more, can be used. Some of the characteristics used can be specific to a particular date or event, and which will not be more generally characteristic of the patron. The facial recognition system (31) can also be used to identify (37) the patron requesting images to be collected. The present invention also relates to the use of facial recognition in sorting and collecting images from an electronically-stored image collection, enabling the easy retrieval of images that are related to a particular person or set of people.
Abstract:
An automated video production system having full news integration and automation. The automated video production system enables a producer to create a show rundown by selecting news stories for a live or live-to-tape video show. The system supports real time conversion of the show rundown into computer readable broadcast instructions for executing the news program. After the broadcast instructions are created, the director can instruct the system to execute the broadcast instructions in either a fully or semi-automatic mode. The fully integrated and automated video production system periodically monitors and synchronizes the show rundown with the broadcast instructions. After the show has been broadcasted, the broadcast instructions and a video recording of the show is stored for future use. For instance, the broadcast instructions can be retrieved and used in another show. Similarly, the recording of the show can be retrieved and re-broadcasted, for example, over the Internet.
Abstract:
A method of and module for allocating recording space on a recording medium for recording an entry of predetermined length, the recording medium having an associated directory (30), which directory (30) lists blocks specifying free space and previously recorded entries, the method comprising the steps of receiving a start position on the recording medium (21), determining with the aid of the directory (30) the consecutive blocks necessary for recording at least the entry of predetermined length, starting from the start position (22), displaying the directory (23) and indicating the consecutive blocks in the directory (24), for example, by a frame (31) around the consecutive blocks. The module may advantageously be included in a video recorder system (10) or another recorder system using recording media.
