Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for handling a traffic flow in a wireless communication system. A method is performed by a controller. The method comprises monitoring a traffic flow on a bearer between an application server and a user equipment in the wireless communication system. The traffic flow is scheduled by a scheduler. The method comprises determining whether or not the traffic flow fulfils a compliance requirement. The compliance requirement pertains to a recommended bitrate is maintained for the traffic flow. The method comprises performing a mitigating action for the traffic flow when the traffic flow fails to fulfil the compliance requirement.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Disclosed is a method performed by a UE, the method comprising : having at least one existing PDU session associated with an S-NSSAI; requesting, from an upper layer, a new PDU session; determining a condition; performing checking operations comprising: (i) checking whether allowed NSSAI includes only one S-NSSAI, and (ii) checking whether any of the at least one existing PDU sessions have an attribute which matches a corresponding attribute in the requested new PDU session; and when both checking operations (i) and (ii) are true: selecting a PDU session from the at least one existing PDU sessions which matches at least one attribute, determining that the selected PDU session can be used or associated with the request from the upper layer, and forwarding details of the selected PDU session to the upper layer.

An L2 virtual network interface emulates an L2 port of the L2 virtual network. IGMP configuration is distributed to the L2 virtual switches.

Abstract: A technique performs load balancing self adjustment within an application environment. The technique involves, while nodes of the application environment load balance traffic among clusters that provide services for an application in accordance with a first load balancing configuration, sensing application environment metrics. The technique further involves performing a self adjustment operation that generates a second load balancing configuration based on the application environment metrics, the second load balancing configuration being different from the first load balancing configuration. The technique further involves deploying the second load balancing configuration among the nodes to enable the nodes to load balance the traffic among the clusters that provide the services for the application in accordance with second load balancing configuration in place of the first load balancing configuration.

A user equipment (UE) may detect a traffic flow (e.g., using one or more of the traffic detection implementations described herein). A 5-tuple associated with the traffic flow may be unknown by the network. The UE may issue an alert to the network. The alert may indicate to the network that the traffic flow has been detected.
