Abstract:
A carpet cleaning apparatus and method,of retrofitting a vacuum cleaner provides a vacuum cleaner (12) with a sweeper housing (20) carrying a rotating brush assembly (28) for contacting a surface of a carpet (16). A collection device (35) is carried in the sweeper housing (18) along with a fan assembly (32). A suction hose (34) is connected in circuit with the fan assembly (32) and the collection device (35). A pump driven vessel (36) is carried externally to the sweeper housing (20) for fluid communication with a spray nozzle (38). The spray nozzle (38) is arranged externally to the housing (38) to dispense fluid (14) under pressure a spaced distance from the housing (18).
Abstract:
An autonomous mobile surface treating apparatus having a chassis, a drive mechanism mounted to the said chassis by a suspension, and a substantially rigid shell movably mounted to the chassis. The suspension includes a resilient member interposed between the drive mechanism and the chassis so that when the shell is pushed toward the supporting surface the resilient member to permit the drive mechanism to move and the shell and/or the chassis to contact the supporting surface. The shell is supported by a plurality of elongated elastic supports received within plurality of elongated openings in the chassis. Preferably, a passive portion of a collision detection sensor is attached to a central portion of the shell. A non-skid lower edge member movably attached to the shell to adjust a clearance between the non-skid lower edge member and the supporting surface. A vacant volume that defines a module receiving area adapted to removeably receive a surface treatment module.
Abstract:
A floor cleaner (10) is provided for cleaning a floor, where the floor cleaner has a front and a rear and includes: a sweeper (12) for sweeping the floor; a scrubber (14), connected to the sweeper (12) and located in the rear of the sweeper (12), for wetting and cleaning the floor; and a burnisher (16), connected to the scrubber (14) and located in the rear of the scrubber (14), for burnishing the floor.
Abstract:
An improved system (22) for cleaning vertical walls includes a vacuum source (28) to adhere the system (22) to the wall, and removes fluid and removed material therefrom. A rotating fluid jet is positioned radially inwardly of the vacuum source (28) and impinges high pressurized fluid on the wall surface. In a preferred embodiment, a central portion (26) mounts the fluid source (38) and the vacuum source (28). A base portion (24) mounts motors (40) for driving the system (22) along the wall. The base portion (24) rotates relative to the central portion (26) such that the central portion (26) does not move as the base portion (24) turns on the wall to drive the system (22) along the wall. An additional air flow system can be provided to provide supplemental air flow to help move fluid material. In a second embodiment, a seal (190) for contacting the surface to be cleaned includes a plurality of brush bristles (154). The brush bristles (154) ensure good contact with the wall.
Abstract:
Universal nozzle which can be connected to or built together with wet vacuum cleaners or floor washing machines, which can clean difficult accessible floor area, for instance corner areas, between a floor surface (6a) and a wall (6b) because the nozzle is provided with an edge cleaning system according to which liquid under pressure flows through the inlet pipes (12b), the distributor pipes (13b) and the injection nozzles (14b) placed in the lower edges of the in the moving direction transverse running sides (21) of the house (4) with the suction pipe (11), by which liquid can be applied in the corner area in the direction as indicated by the arrow (c) in the full working width of the nozzle (W) and can be extracted as indicated by the arrows (a) through the suction pipe (11) to the vacuum cleaner. In a form of carrying out the edge cleaning system is provided with automatic activating system which opens for applying liquid when the operator presses the nozzle towards the wall (6b) and turns off the liquid when the operator relieves the pressure against the wall.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A liquid extraction cleaning device comprises a main unit, a liquid pump, a flexible hose, and a hand tool. The main unit comprises a vacuum pump. The hand tool comprises a vacuum inlet port, an agitator, a spray nozzle, and a grip portion. The vacuum inlet port of the hand tool is operatively connected to the vacuum pump via the hose passageway in a manner such that the vacuum pump is capable of drawing fluid through the vacuum inlet port and into the hose passageway. The spray nozzle is operatively connected to the liquid pump in a manner such that the liquid pump is capable of forcing liquid out of the spray nozzle.
Abstract:
A system (16) and method for generating and dispensing a diluted electrolyzed solution, where the system (16) includes a solution generator (18), one or more containers (20), and one or more dispensing stations (22) separate from the solution generator (18). The solution generator (18)generates and dispenses a concentrated electrolyzed solution to the container(s) (20). The dispensing station(s) (22) draw the concentrated electrolyzed solution from the container(s) (20), dilutes the drawn concentrated electrolyzed solution, and dispenses the diluted electrolyzed solution.
