    Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung für eine industrielle Bearbeitung von Schüttgut umfassend ein bewegliches Werkzeug (2) und ein Sieb (4), wobei Werkzeug (2) und Sieb (4) das Schüttgut so bearbeiten können, dass das Schüttgut in bearbeiteter Form das Sieb (4) passieren kann, und umfassend eine Probenentnahmeeinrichtung (9) mit einer bandförmigen Eintrittsöffnung (21) für ein Abtrennen eines Teilstroms aus dem Stoffstrom. Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem ein Verfahren zur kontinuierlichen Bestimmung einer Korngrößenverteilung mit einer erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung mit den Schritten: * Schüttgut wird der Vorrichtung zugeführt; * das zugeführte Schüttgut wird durch das Werkzeug (2) und das Sieb (4) granuliert; * das Granulat tritt als Stoffstrom an der Unterseite des Siebs (4) aus; * durch die Probenentnahmeeinrichtung (9) wird ein Teilstrom aus dem Stoffstrom abgetrennt, * durch eine Messsonde der Vorrichtung wird die Korngrößenverteilung des Teilstroms kontinuierlich gemessen. Neben der Korngrößenverteilung können auch andere Werte gemessen werden wie zum Beispiel die Dichte bzw. Porosität eines Granulats.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for obtaining a sample from a pipeline to monitor for corrosion. More specifically, the disclosure relates to a pipeline pig with a scraping mechanism and sampling mechanism. The pipeline pig travels down the pipeline. The scraping mechanism removes material from the walls of the pipeline and into a conduit within the pipeline pig. Valves prevent the material from entering a sampling container until a sample is desired to be taken. When the pipeline pig reaches a zone in the pipeline where it is desired to sample material to monitor for corrosion, a controller signals one or more valves to open. Once a sample has been collected, the valves can be closed. When the pipeline pig is removed from the pipeline, the sample can be removed from the sampling container and analyzed for corrosion indicators.

    Abstract: Systems and processes for collecting and transporting a fluid sample. In one embodiment, the system can include at least one apparatus that can include a rotatable shaft, one or more other moving parts, and at least one fluid path containing a lubricating fluid. The system can also include at least one sample container and at least one unmanned aerial vehicle configured to transport the at least one sample container. The system can also include at least one valve that can be configured to open and discharge a sample of the lubricating fluid from the at least one fluid path into the at least one sample container. At least one unmanned aerial vehicle station can be configured to receive the at least one unmanned aerial vehicle. At least one retention and loading mechanism can be configured to move the at least one sample container.

    Abstract: To measure above-saturation water content of hydrocarbons, a liquid hydrocarbon sample is received from a flowline carrying the liquid hydrocarbon. The liquid hydrocarbon sample includes liquid hydrocarbon and liquid water at a concentration greater than a water saturation level. The liquid hydrocarbon sample is mixed with a solvent. The concentration of liquid water in a mixture of the solvent and the liquid hydrocarbon sample is below the water saturation level. After mixing the liquid hydrocarbon sample with the solvent, a water content in the liquid hydrocarbon sample is determined.
