摘要： A method of stripping, prepping and coating a surface comprises first stripping the exiting coating from a surface, using continuous or pulsed fluid jet, followed by prepping the surface by the same fluid jet. The method also provides entraining particles into a fluid stream, if desired to generate a particle-entrained fluid stream that is directed at the surface to be stripped and prepped. The particles act as abrasive particles for prepping the surface to a prescribed surface roughness required for subsequent application of a coating to the surface. The method then entails coating the surface by electrically charging coating particles having the same chemical composition as the particles used to prep the surface. Finally, a charged-particle-entrained fluid stream is directed at high speed at the charged surface to thereby coat the surface. The particles form both mechanical and electronic bonds with the surface.

摘要： A multi-layer drug coated medical device such as for example an expandable vascular drug eluting stent is formed by vacuum pulse spray techniques wherein each layer is irradiated to improve adhesion and/or drug elution properties prior to formation of subsequent layers. Layers may be homogeneous or of diverse drugs. Layers may incorporate a non-polymer elution-retarding material. Layers may alternate with one or more layers of non-polymer elution-retarding materials. Polymer binders and/or matrices are not used in the formation of the coatings, yet the pure drug coatings have good mechanical and elution rate properties. Systems, methods and medical device articles are disclosed.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a flocked planar product having a net or grid structure. In said method, a net-type or grid-type, planar starting substrate is provided with an adhesive coating into which flock fibers are introduced in an electrostatic fashion. In order to apply the adhesive coating, the starting substrate is moved through a passageway for applying adhesive between a pressing member and a transfer member that stores adhesive, and the transfer member is moved by means of the pressing member in such a way that an adhesive deposit builds up or accumulates at the inlet of the application passageway, the planar starting substrate being immersed and/or guided through said adhesive deposit.

摘要： The machine for the horizontal painting with powdered paints, of three-dimensional and mainly flat wood products or its by-products, comprises a horizontal and motorised conveyor (1) upon which are resting the products to be painted which by suitable means are referred to an electric potential having a predetermined sign and which by the same conveyor are driven to pass through at least one chamber (11) connected to suction means which maintain the same in depression with respect to the external environment, because in said chamber are delivered by suitable means the powdered paints electrostatically charged with electric charges having an opposite sign to the one of the products, to strictly adhere to the same products. The whole is effected in such a manner that the particles of powder do not exit from the inlet and outlet mouths or doors of said chamber because of the suction effected by said suction means. The delivery means of the electrostatically charged painting powders, are placed at least at one or both of the doors of the said chamber (11), so that are continuously licked up by the depressurisation airflow of the same painting chamber, which prevents the deposit upon said means of powdered paint and which therefore maintains said means always perfectly clean.
