    摘要： The present invention is concerned with the improvement of agricobiological traits in plants. More specifically, the present invention pertains to a method for increasing drought-stress and/or salt stress tolerance of a plant comprising expressing in a plant a polynucleotide encoding for a polypeptide having ferulate 5-hydroxylase activity, wherein said polynucleotide is operably linked to a promoter which is active in endodermis cells. The present invention also deals with plants obtainable by the method of the present invention as well as with expression cassettes comprising a polynucleotide encoding for a polypeptide having ferulate 5-hydroxylase activity.

    摘要： In a method of operating a household appliance, in particular a dishwasher, the presence of (unpleasant) odours due to decomposition of organic materials is determined by using two different sensors, wherein only one of the sensors is responsive to a chemical substance occurring upon decomposition of organic material, and the other is not, but wherein both sensors are responsive to particular environmental conditions in a similar manner. By comparing the sensor signals (10, 12; 10', 12'), one can distinguish between an influence of a change in the environmental conditions and the occurrence of the substance due to decomposition of organic material.

    摘要： In a method of operating a household appliance, in particular a dishwasher, the presence of (unpleasant) odours due to decomposition of organic materials is determined by using two different sensors, responsive to different chemical substances occurring upon decomposition of organic material, wherein the sensors do in particular apply different working principles of measurement (e.g. different physical principles). A first pre-determined criterion (S12) is applied to first measurement signals obtained (S10) from the first sensor, and a second pre-determined criterion (S18) is applied to measurement signals (12, 12') obtained (S16) by the second sensor. If both criteria are fulfilled, this is an indication of unpleasant odours, and a signal is output (an action is initiated, S24).
