The invention relates to composites, comprising at least one hollow fibre, made from an oxygen-transporting ceramic material which is a combination of oxygen anion and electron-conducting ceramic material, or a combination of oxygen anion conducting ceramic material and electron-conducting ceramic or non-ceramic material, whereby the outer surface of the hollow fibre is in contact with the outer surface of the same or a different hollow fibre and the contact points are connected by means of sintering. Further composites contain at least one hollow fibre, made from oxygen transporting ceramic material, which is an oxygen anion and electron-conducting ceramic material, or a combination of oxygen anion conducting ceramic material and electron-conducting ceramic or non-ceramic material, with a connector element for the introduction or removal of fluids on at least one front face, whereby the hollow fibres and the connector element are connected. The plasma producing means (3) has one or more each of a pulse electrode (4) and a ground electrode (5) that are opposedly arranged in the case body (2) and has a pulse power source (6) capable of feeding a pulse current to the pulse electrode (4) while switching frequency and/or voltage for different values at predetermined time intervals. Frequency and/or voltage is switched for different values at predetermined time intervals, so that plasma of a kind adequate for substances contained in an exhaust gas is produced between the pulse electrode (4) and the ground electrode (5). As a result, the substances to be treated in the exhaust gas can be selectively treated.

The invention relates to a decomposition device and method for toxic or soot-containing harmful substances. The suggested system comprises at least one processing station (5) based on dielectric obstruction discharge, with a device containing at least two electrodes, one of which is a porous and gas-permeable electrode (6). In order to decompose said toxic harmful substances, the flue gas is first introduced into at least one processing station (5), in which they are submitted to a plasma processing involving an appropriate alternate voltage supply (9), and from which said flue gas is let out through a porous electrode (6) into one or more gas tanks (7). In order to decompose the soot-containing harmful substances, the flue gas is introduced through one end of the processing station (5) formed by the two electrodes, the other end being closed, and through the porous electrode (6) which is gas-permeable but filters and holds back the soot particles.
