A predetermined amount of filling material (2) is placed in the cavity, slot or pocket (3) and the cavity, slot or pocket (3) is then sealed. The filling operation may also be automated. Thus the method of the present invention provides a piece of natural meat of predetermined weight and shape making it suitable for mass production.
