Said mixing element (6) comprises a scraping element (44) for scraping the cylindrical inner wall of the tank (2).

A rotating stirring device for generating substantially narrow distribution of energy dissipation rate and avoiding presence of Taylor vortices is disclosed. The device comprises an outer member (1) such as a cylinder with cross-section of circular shape and an inner member (2) with cross-section of equilateral or inequilateral polygon shape with curved cusps. The inner member is preferably concentrically placed within the outer cylinder and rotates. Such device is particularly advantageous as a reactor or mixer for processes where chemical and physical properties are sensitive to the variations in the shear rate and for processes that involve fragile components. The device can be also used to replace Taylor Couette device for the purposes of improving mass transfer and of avoiding separation of components in the gap in the case of presence of differences in density among components.

Bei dem anmeidungsgemässen Verfahren werden Brennstoff und das Wasserin einem Desintegrator mit 3 bis 10 Stiftreihen bei einer Durchgangsgeschwindigkeit von 100 bis 300 m/sek behandelt. Im Ausgangsgemenge ist ein genügender Anteil an Brennstoff vorhanden, um bei Verbrennung der gebildeten stabilen Emulsionen bzw. Suspensionen eine Verbrennungstemperatur sicherzustellen, die zur thermischen Dissoziation des Wassers in Wasserstoff und Sauerstoff ausreicht, sodaß letzterer den Verbrennungsvorgang des Brennstoffes unterstützt, während ersterer mit der Umgebungsluft unter Lieferung von Wärmeenergie verbrennt.

It includes a tank (12,14,16), a vertical screw (60) placed inside a tube (34) and a lamination bells system (15,64) leaning out from a superior part of tube (34). The screw (60) is rotated by first means of rotation (38). Tube (34) is rotating and is rotated via second means of rotation (40), different from the ones which rotate the screw (60), so that screw (60) can be rotated according to a first rotation and tube (34) can be rotated according to a second rotation. The first rotation and the second rotation are independent each other.
