Abstract: A parasitic Acari barrier fabric that impedes parasitic Acari movement, traps parasitic Acari, and/or exterminates parasitic Acari thereon or therein. The barrier fabric includes an outer face formed from open mesh construction having evenly spaced openings formed thereon that are adapted for passing parasitic Acari from outside the fabric to inside the fabric, an inner face that is breathable and configured for moisture vapor transmission from a wearer's skin therethrough but is impenetrable to parasitic Acari passed to the inside of the fabric, and an intermediate spacer that extends between and interconnects the inner face to the outer face to form the parasitic Acari barrier fabric.

Abstract: Bio-composite pultruded products (100, 104, 107, 110, 114, 117) either in “I” profile or “Plate” profile of higher cross sectional area where said products consisting essentially natural fibres selected from hemp, jute, sisal and. flex as core impregnated with a resin system comprise of at least one resin, curing system comprising a curing agent and an accelerator, a filler, a thinner, pigment or any other additives; encapsulated between bi-directionally and/or uni-directionally oriented synthetic fabric selected from polyester, carbon, aramid, glass, basalt and mixtures thereof impregnated with said resin system are provided. in another bio-composite pultruded products either of “I” profile or “Plate” profile of higher cross sectional area where said products consisting of plank of short fibers bagasse premixed with the said resin system as core is enclosed between the natural fibers selected from hemp, jute, sisal and flex impregnated with the resin system which is further enclosed between bi-directionally and/or uni-directionally oriented synthetic fabric selected from polyester, carbon, aramid, glass, basalt and mixtures thereof impregnated with the resin system. The system and method for the preparations of said bio-composite pultruded products, are also illustrated herein. These products lead to a significant reduction in weight and reduction in density with higher stiffness and bending strength. The present bio-composite products are encapsulated by fabrics in the peripheral area brings more integrity uniformity of jute materials. This leads to a significant cost reduction in a without sacrificing much tensile strength.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a multilayer fabric comprising: a) an external woven fabric; b) an internal woven fabric; c) a membrane placed between the internal fabric and external one, said membrane comprising at least two layers, one of which having a superior UV refractive index compared to the other one; d) an additive comprising a ceramic compound.
The multilayer fabric according to the invention shows a very high UV refractive index and gives a better perceived temperature under the fabric compared to the ones on the market.
In a preferred embodiment, the membrane has a thickness comprised between 35 and 200 µm, and is a polyurethane membrane having a number of layers which can vary from 2 to 3.
The external and internal fabrics are preferably independently selected from: polyester, acrylic, polyamide.
The multilayer fabric according to the present invention is suitable for use in awnings, camping tents and car hoods.-

Abstract: A scrim or web material is provided made from polymer containing functional additives, and other additives, where the scrim may be used as a substrate for nonwoven fabric or other laminated engineered materials. The base web material forming the scrim may have properties imparted by the various functional additives that are incorporated into the polymer prior to web formation, and may be manufactured by any of several means commercially known such as injection molding, extrusion, weaving extruded filaments, or thermally bonding laid scrim, or by methods currently unknown. Properties imparted to the scrim materials may include electromagnetic spectral detectability, thereby making the scrim suitable for usage in a variety of fields including food production, medical, and pharmaceutical production environments.
