The present invention relates to a masterbatch to for use in a process of preparing a composite material, the masterbatch comprising a blend of a first amorphous polymer with carbon nanotubes, and at least 5 % by weight of carbon nanotubes based on the total weight of the masterbatch, preferably from 5 % to 15 %, wherein the masterbatch exhibit a high load melt flow index HLMI1 of less than 40 g/10min determined at 200°C under a load of 21.6 kg according to ISO1133 and the first amorphous polymer has a melt flow index MFI1 of at least 10 g/10 min determined at 200°C under a load of 5 kg according to ISO1 133H. The invention also relates to the process for preparing such masterbatch and to process of preparing a composite material using said masterbatch.

Disclosed are an antistatic agent which does not impair the appearance and the mechanical strength of a molded article and which provides sufficient permanent antistatic properties to the molded article even when added in a small amount, and an antistatic resin composition containing the same. The antistatic agent (Z) includes: a block polymer (A) containing a block of hydrophobic polymer (a) and a block of hydrophilic polymer (b) as constituent units; and an organic fluorine-modified polyolefin (B). The antistatic resin composition is obtained by containing the antistatic agent in a thermoplastic resin (C).

A liquid composition containing no solvent, which comprises a low molecular weight organic compound having at least one reactive group (with the proviso that an ionic liquid having a polymerizable group is excluded) and/or at least one polymer, and a reactive diluent comprising at least one ionic liquid having a polymerizable group. The above liquid composition is free from the volatilization of an organic solvent, is excellent in safety, can reduce the load to the environment, and also can be used generally.

A thermoplastic resin composition having transparency and antistatic properties, comprising 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin (A) having a refractive index of 1.52 to 1.61 and a haze of 40 or less, and 5 to 40 parts by weight of a polyether ester (B) which has a sulfonate group and a polyalkylene oxide group, and is substantially immiscible with the thermoplastic resin (A), the difference in refractive index between the thermoplastic resin (A) and the polyether ester (B) being 0.04 or less. The thermoplastic resin composition has a haze of 40 % or less and a surface resistivity of 1x10 10 to 1x10 14 ohm/square.

A polypropylene resin composition which comprises:
(a) 100 parts by weight of a crystalline polypropylene resin, and (b) 0.05 or more but less than 1 part by weight of crosslinked polymer beads which have a weight average particle diameter of 0.5-5 µm and which comprise 60-96% by weight of styrenic monomer units, 2-38% by weight of radical-polymerizable monomer units, the refractive index of the polymer of the radical-polymerizable monomer being 1.50 or less, and 2-50% by weight of crosslinkable monomer units; may be oriented in at least a uniaxial direction to give an oriented film having an average protuberance height of 60-600 nm on its surface and possessing good transparency, slip and blocking resistance characteristics.
