    摘要: The present invention relates to Trichinella vaccines that include at least one tyvelose-containing oligosaccharide or functional equivalent thereof, to Trichinella vaccines that include at least one fucose-containing oligosaccharide or functional equivalent thereof, and to the use of such vaccines to protect animals from Trichinella infections, and particularly from trichinosis caused by Trichinella spiralis infection. Such vaccines can also be used to produce antibodies that are capable of protecting an animal from Trichinella infections and of diagnosing such infections. The present invention also relates to Trichinella diagnostic reagents that include at least one tyvelose-containing oligosaccharide, or functional equivalent thereof, and use of such reagents to detect Trichinella, and particularly Trichinella spiralis infections. The present invention also includes diagnostic kits based on such reagents and anti-Trichinella-spiralis drugs based on the knowledge that tyvelose is produced by Trichinella spiralis parasites.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for producing an α-acyloxy carbonyl compound from an enol ester epoxide stereoselectively using an acid catalyst which is capable of affecting rearrangement of the enol ester epoxide with inversion of stereochemistry. The present invention also provides a method for kinetic resolution of a stereoisomeric mixture of enol ester epoxides using a chiral catalyst. The kinetic resolution generally involves stereoselectively producing one particular enantiomer of α-acyloxy carbonyl compounds from the stereoisomeric mixture of enol ester epoxides.

    摘要: On a constaté qu'il est possible de protéger aisément des hôtes sensibles aux parasitoses par les nématodes, contre ces infections, lorsque les parasites ne sont pas adaptés à une relation parasite/hôte avec cet hôte.
