    摘要： Disclosed is a method for stimulating revascularization in a subject comprising the steps of:
    (a) administering erythropoietin to the subject;
    (b) collecting peripheral blood mononuclear cells from the subject; and
    (c) administering the collected peripheral blood mononuclear cells to a target site of the subject. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and particularly CD34-positive cells, are mobilized into the peripheral blood of a subject by the administration of erythropoietin to the subject. The method of the present invention is useful for the treatment of ischemic diseases, such as peripheral vascular disorder.

    摘要： A method for sterilizing fruits and vegetables includes irradiating a surface of fruits and vegetables with UVA, while the surface of the fruits and vegetables is in contact with chlorine water containing sodium hypochlorite having a chlorine concentration of 5 ppm or more. According to the method for sterilizing fruits and vegetables, the fruits and vegetables can be quite efficiently sterilized by chlorine water having a quite low concentration, that is 5 ppm or more, slightly higher than that of tap water. Further, multiplication of bacteria in the sterilized fruits and vegetables can be effectively prevented, while a residual chlorine concentration in the sterilized fruits and vegetables is significantly reduced.

The smoke detecting apparatus for detecting occurrence of smoke by subjecting an image captured by a monitoring camera to image processing includes: an image memory (10) for storing a plurality of images captured by the monitoring camera in a time series; and a smoke detection area selecting portion (20) for calculating a luminance histogram of the same pixel for each predetermined pixel a plurality of times in a past predetermined period based on the plurality of images stored in the image memory (10), detecting presence or absence of a luminance value that has been newly generated due to occurrence of one of an intrusive object and smoke based on the luminance histogram, and identifying candidate regions to be subjected to the image processing.
