Garments that can be constructed of flame resistant fabric with retroreflective elements applied thereon include garments such as, for example, shirts, pants, coveralls, jumpsuits, jackets, gloves, hats, etc. The flame resistant fabric has a coefficient of retroreflection of about 10 to about 500 candelas per lux per square meter. In addition, the retroreflective elements cover at least about 5 percent of the outer surface of the flame resistant fabric.

The invention consists of at least three elements comprising an exterior facing (I1) and an interior facing (I3) which are both breathable and reflective and which are separated by an intermediary layer (I2) consisting of a bat that is permeable to water vapour. The aforementioned exterior and interior facings are different and comprise a breathable, reflective, watertight outer facing (I1) and a breathable, non-watertight inner facing (I3) inside the building on the warm side.

The present invention provides a metallic appearance to ordinary inkjet printing to provide unique and special print effects.
