摘要: A first light-blocking member (10) and a second light-blocking member (30) are adhered to each other by forming a light-transmitting layer having a light-transmitting composition (21) serving as a base material and a light-transmitting filler (22) different in index of refraction from this light-transmitting composition (21) on a front surface of the first light-blocking member (10), applying a liquid light curing adhesive to a front surface (20a) of the light-transmitting layer (20), arranging the second light-blocking member (30) on the front surface (20a) of the light-transmitting layer (20) to which the liquid light curing adhesive has been applied, curing the liquid light curing adhesive by irradiating the light-transmitting layer (20) with light having a prescribed wavelength laterally from a side of the light-transmitting layer (20) so as to adhere the light-transmitting layer (20) and the second light-blocking member (30) to each other. By doing so, in adhering the light-blocking members to each other by using a light curing adhesive, an adhesion operation can easily and quickly be performed while ensuring sufficient adhesion strength.

摘要: A film includes microlayers arranged into optical repeat units. Adjacent microlayers have in-plane refractive index mismatches &Dgr;nx, &Dgr;ny tailored to provide mirror-like on-axis properties, such that the film has a reflectivity for normally incident light in an extended wavelength band of at least 75% for any polarization. Adjacent microlayers also have a refractive index mismatch &Dgr;nz that provides the film with reduced reflectivity R1 and increased transmission for p-polarized light in the extended wavelength band incident on the film in a first plane of incidence at an angle &thetas;oblique, where R1 is no more than half of the minimum of on-axis reflectivity. Further, &Dgr;nx and &Dgr;ny are different enough so that for light incident on the film in a second plane of incidence orthogonal to the first plane, the film has a reflectivity R2 of at least 75% for such light that is p-polarized and incident at any angle.

摘要: A multilayer interlayer structure having a low Mw/high Tg layer and a high Mw layer, the interlayer having a high E′ modulus and a higher Tg. The high Tg layer has a Tg of at least 50° C. and a weight average molecular weight of not more than 160,000. The high Mw layer has a molecular weight greater than 160,000. The interlayer structure has increased stiffness without having to increase its thickness, and has an increased Tg to enable the structure to be used in applications that require good modulus at outdoor temperatures.

摘要: The present disclosure provides lamination transfer films and use of the lamination transfer films, particular in the fabrication of architectural glass elements, such as those used in Insulated Glass Units (IGUs). The lamination transfer films may be used to transfer functional layers and structures. The lamination transfer films may include a support film that can be removed during the transfer process, and the transferred materials are primarily inorganic. The resulting transferred structures on glass generally have high photo- and thermal-stability, and therefore can successfully be applied to the glass surfaces that are interior to the cavity within an IGU. The lamination transfer films can also be patterned such that macroscopic patterns of microoptical elements can be applied on a glass surface.
