By a simple configuration, a series voltage given to an active filter is enhanced. The active filter is connected in parallel to a rectifier circuit (2) between a set of AC input lines (W) and a pair of DC buses (LH, LL). The active filter includes a capacitor (C2), diodes (D1, D2) and an inverter (5). The diode (D1) is disposed between one end of the capacitor (C2) and the DC bus (LH). The diode (D2) is disposed between other end of the capacitor (C2) and the DC bus (LL). The diodes (D1, D2) are disposed in an orientation to be forward with respect to a DC voltage (Vdc) outputted by the rectifier circuit (2). The inverter (5) includes: a set of AC-side terminals (51, 52, 53) connected to the AC input lines (W); and a pair of DC-side terminals (54, 55) connected to both ends of the capacitor (C2).

A method and apparatus for minimizing transmit signal interference is provided. The method includes the steps of: receiving a signal and amplifying the received signal. The received signal is then mixed with an intermediate frequency signal to obtain a baseband modulated signal. The baseband modulated signal is first filtered in an RC filter. The resulting signal is then divided by a preselected amount and the first divided portion is sent to a main path of a biquad filter, which produces a first stage biquad filtered signal. The second portion of the divided signal is sent to an auxiliary path of the biquad filter, and produces a second filtered signal. The first and second signals are then recombined and sent to the second stage of the biquad filter, where further filtering takes place.

A pseudo sine wave generation circuit (20) generates a pseudo sine wave having a level change of at least two steps respectively on both positive and negative sides. The pseudo sine wave is made to pass through the IF filter (14) by a switch circuit (22), and in this state, an F0 adjustment circuit (24) adjusts the center frequency F0 in the IF filter (14) by comparing a phase of the pseudo sine wave with a phase of the signal after passing through the IF filter (14).

[Solution] Provided is a wireless communication apparatus including: a gyrator that includes at least four terminals; a single-phase differential converter that mutually converts single-phase signals and differential signals; a low-noise differential amplifier that amplifies reception signals that the gyrator outputs; and a differential power amplifier that amplifies transmission signals to be output to the gyrator. The gyrator transmits signals from a first terminal and a second terminal in the direction of a third terminal and a fourth terminal.
