The invention relates to an extrusion line for producing plastic profiles, preferably plastic pipes, comprising at least one extruder (1), a mold (2), a calibration (3), and further subsequent devices. According to the invention, the mold (2) comprises an internal cooling, the flow distribution of which can be influenced, wherein at least one branch for a coolant is disposed in the interior of the mold. The invention further relates to a method for increasing the cooling power of an extrusion line for extruding a plastic profile, particularly a plastic pipe, comprising the steps: a) melting plastic in an extruder (1), b) forming a plastic strand and feeding the plastic strand into a mold (2), c) forming a plastic profile by means of the mold (2) and calibrating and curing by means of cooling the profile in a calibration (3). According to the invention, the temperature of the plastic strand is reduced in the mold (2) prior to exiting the mold (2), wherein the fluid flow is controlled in the interior of the mold (2) by means of a bypass (8), wherein fluid openings (9) for forming the bypass (8) can be opened or closed between 0% and 100%.

The invention relates to a method for producing blow-moulded hollow bodies. Flat preforms (1, 1') are produced during the working cycle of a blow-moulding installation, said preforms emerging from wide-slit nozzles (2), and being connected, while still in the thermoplasticised state in the blow-moulding installation, along a pinch-off weld formed by the closing of the blow-mould (3), and expanded to form a hollow body (4). So that the flat preforms assume a reproducible position both in relation to the respective blow-moulding half (10) and to each other, a plurality of measures according to the invention are carried out alone or as a group. The synchronism of the preforms emerging from the wide-slit nozzles is monitored. If there are variations in the synchronism behaviour, the flow resistance is modified in order to correct the synchronism by heating the flow channels differently and/or by actuating a throttle element (17) acting on one of the partial flows, or the transport power of a plasticising unit (5) is adapted.

The diameter and standard deviation of the filament (20) are controlled to meet various tolerance requirements of jam resistance, slip resistance, model strength, liquifier overflow prevention and hysteresis-free transient response. Standard deviation of the filament diameter is matched to a filament target diameter. The resulting filament (20) is used to form high-quality models.
