Abstract:
Phosphors based on doping of an activator (an emitter) into a host matrix are disclosed herein. Such phosphors include alkaline gallate phosphors doped with Cr 3+ or Ni 2+ ions, which in some embodiments can exhibit persistent infrared phosphorescence for as long as 200 hours. Such phosphors can be used, for example, as components of a luminescent paint.
Abstract:

There is provided an ion conductor comprising an oxide of perovskite type represented by the general formula: BaZraCebM1cL1dO3-α (1) wherein M1 is at least one member selected from the group consisting of rare earths, In, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Al and Ga; L1 is at least one member selected from the group consisting of P, B and N; and a, b, c, d and α satisfy the relationships: 0≤a
Abstract:
The present invention provides a power generation cell for a solid electrolyte fuel cell using a lanthanum gallate solid electrolyte as a solid electrolyte, particularly a structure of a fuel electrode of the power generation cell for the solid electrolyte fuel cell. The fuel electrode according to the first aspect of the present invention is a fuel electrode of a power generation cell for a solid electrolyte fuel cell in which particles (2) of a B-doped ceria (herein, B represents one or two or more of Sm, La, Gd, Y and Ca) are attached to the surface of the framework of porous nickel having a framework structure in which a network is formed by mutual sintering of nickel particles (1). The ceria particles (2) are distributed with the highest density and attached around the framework structure portions (3) the sectional areas of which are made small by the mutual sintering of the nickel particles (1) to be bonded to each other.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnetic crystal for electromagnetic wave absorbing materials, having a structure of ε-M x Fe 2-x O 3 with 0 2 O 3 crystal and which is derived from an ε-Fe 2 O 3 crystal by substituting a part of the Fe site therein with M. In this, M is a trivalent element having an effect of lowering the coercive force Hc of ε-Fe 2 O 3 crystal by the substitution. Concretely, the element M includes Al and Ga. An electromagnetic wave absorber having a packed structure of particles having such a substituent element M-added "M-substituted ε-Fe 2 O 3 crystal" as the magnetic phase may control the electromagnetic wave absorption peak frequency depending on the degree of substitution with the element M, and for example, the invention gives an electromagnetic wave absorber applicable to a 76 GHz band for on-vehicle radars.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of an isomorphously substituted RUB-36 silicate comprising (1) providing a mixture containing silica, preferably amorphous silica, and/or at least one silica precursor, water, at least one suitable structure directing agent, (2) heating the mixture obtained according to (1) under hydrothermal conditions to give a suspension containing an RUB-36 silicate, (3) separating the RUB-36 silicate, wherein (a) either the mixture according to (1) contains at least one element suitable for isomorphous substitution and/or (b) the separated RUB-36 silicate according to (3) is subjected to isomorphous substitution.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a hydrosol of one or more metal oxides, e.g. titanium dioxide, comprising preparing a metal alkoxide solution in a water-miscible organic solvent, e.g. an alcohol; providing an aqueous solvent; mixing the metal alkoxide solution with the aqueous solvent in a volume or weight proportion to form a single-phase aqueous sol colloid (hydrosol) of hydrated metal oxide in absence of a non-ionic block polymer surfactant. Also disclosed is a corresponding hydrogel; water-insoluble particles encapsulated in hydrated metal oxide and a process for their encapsulation; uses of the encapsulation products.
