In addition the hydrodynamic machine has a lubricant supply system (33) for the at least one plain bearing, comprising a lubricant source (28) connected by means of at least one lubricant supply line to the plain bearing, and has a lubricant outlet (34) which is connected by means of a lubricant discharge line (31) to the at least one plain bearing, such that in the lubricant supply line and/or the lubricant discharge line a lubricant reservoir (15) is provided which, for formation of a lubricant circuit between the lubricant reservoir and the at least one plain bearing, in the event of a failure of the lubricant supply from the lubricant source, is connected to the at least one plain bearing by means of at least one lubricant feed conduit (16) and at least one lubricant return conduit (17).

The vibration damping device is applied to a power transmission unit having an input side rotary member 24, 25 that transmits a power to an elastic member 26 and an output rotary member 19 that is rotated by the power transmitted from the elastic member. In order to damp vibrations of the output rotary member, the vibration damping device is comprised of a holding chamber rotated integrally with the input side rotary member 24, 25, and a rolling member 28 held in the holding chamber in a manner to rotate in a same direction as the output side rotary member 19 while being allowed to rotate relatively therewith.
