    摘要: A photodegradative process is described for the purificabastion of water contaminated by ether-based compounds, especially methylterbutyl ether (MTBE) or its analogous products, which comprises the following steps:

    (a) treatment of the contaminated water with an inorganic acid up to a pH ranging from 4.0 to 4.5 with the elimination of the carbon dioxide thus formed;
    (b) dispersion in the water of solid particles of a metal oxide of the semiconductor type or dissolution of a stream consisting of ozone in pure oxygen or air;
    (c) irradiation of the dispersion or solution obtained in step (b) with ultraviolet light to degrade the ether-based contaminants.

    摘要: A process is described for the contemporaneous preparation of mesitylene and durene, characterized in that mesitylene and durene are obtained exclusively starting from pseudo-cumene without the use of any further chemical compound, operating in continuous, at a temperature ranging from 210 to 400°C, at a pressure ranging from 1 to 50 bar, with a weight space velocity ranging from 0.1 to 20 hours -1 and in the presence of a catalyst based on crystalline metal-silicates in acid form. After the recovery of mesitylene and durene from the reaction raw product, some of the remaining components of the raw product itself are recycled and fed to the reactor together with the pseudo-cumene.

    摘要: A process is described for the treatment of biological sludge generated by the purification of industrial and civil wastewater which comprises the following steps: (a) acidification of the sludge to a pH ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 and thickening by means of sedimentation; (b) separation of the thickened sludge and a clarified product; (c) thermo-chemical treatment of the thickened sludge; (d) neutralization of the mixture obtained in step (c) to a pH ranging from 5.3 to 6.2; (e) separation of a solid fraction and a liquid fraction; (f) drying of the solid fraction obtained in step (e) and recovery of the liquid fraction. The solid fraction, characterized by a final content of dry product greater than 90%, can be used as an amending substance or fuel, whereas the liquid fraction, characterized by a high biodegradability can be used for the production of biogas or as a carbon and energy source for microorganisms.
