The system utilizes photovoltaic modules and an electrolyte solution to efficiently split water into hydrogen and oxygen. The efficiency of solar powered electrolysis of water is optimized by matching the most efficient voltage generated by photovoltaic cells to the most efficient input voltage required by the electrolysis cell(s). Optimizing PV-electrolysis systems makes solar powered hydrogen generation cheaper and more practical for use as an environmentally clean alternative fuel.

The silver-nickel coating is a silver-nickel nano-composite material characterized by silver and nickel grains having an average grain size of about five to about fifty nanometers, yielding a silver-rich phase and a harder nickel-rich phase as a result of silver and nickel being immiscible. In accordance with this invention, the volume fraction of nickel significantly influences the fretting wear resistance of the coating, with a preferred nickel content being resulting in the presence of disconnected islands of the nickel phase dispersed within a relatively softer silver matrix.

    摘要: The vehicle seat includes a riser assembly a floor latch for joining a rear leg to a vehicle floor releasable by a pull cable and a seat back bracket joined to the riser having first, second and third pins connected to it and a first slot. It has seat back foldable from an upright position to a fold positioning pivotally connected to the seat back bracket via the first pin. The seat back has a connected fourth pin captured within the seat back first slot. A pawl is connected to the third pin angularly biased toward the fourth pin when the seat back is in an upright position. A release lever is connected to the seat back bracket having a handle and first and second fingers bifurcated by a slot which accepts the fourth pin, one of the fingers having a tab to remove the lock pawl from engagement with the fourth pin when the seat back is moved to the folded position from the upright position. A first link is pivotally connected to the seat back bracket and a second link is pivotally joined to the release lever and to the first link.

    摘要: In a distributed management apparatus for a battery pack, a battery monitoring module (12) for each individual battery (11) comprises a microcomputer and apparatus for bi-directional communication with a central control. Each microcomputer is provided with memory and its own control program, which allow sophisticated data gathering, communication and bypass control functions to be performed by each battery monitoring module (12) independently of the central control, although still at its command, for more efficient control design and more flexible and capable system operation. In a preferred embodiment, each battery monitoring module (12) may further comprise voltage and temperature measuring circuits with inputs to the microcomputer and a bypass circuit incorporating the microcomputer itself. All the battery monitoring modules (12) are linked with an interface module (13) by a minimal element, common digital communication circuit for bi-directional communication between each of the battery monitoring modules and the central control. Each battery monitoring module (12) may provide bypass activation alternatively, as commanded by the central control, in a timer mode, in which the bypass path is activated for a commanded time, or a voltage mode, in which the bypass path is activated when the battery voltage equals a commanded value.

    摘要: An air bag module (50) includes axially elongated first mounting members (110) each having an upper portion (111) mounted to an air bag retainer (60) and a rearwardly extending portion (113) extending through an air bag (80) and an inflator flange (96). In addition, the module (50) includes axially elongated second mounting members (120) each having an internal axial bore (126) therethrough for securely engaging the rearwardly extending portion (113) of the first mounting members (110) therein. The second mounting members (120) securely trap the air bag (80) and inflator flange (96) when the second mounting members (120) are fully engaged with the first mounting members (110). The second mounting members (120) are preferably adapted for mounting the module (50) to a support portion (30) of the vehicle.
