    摘要: A method is provided for communication between a plurality of stations in a communication network using media access protocol, in which medium access is granted to stations obtaining a successful reservation of the medium and in which data transmission verification is performed by the protocol within the reservation. In the method a station sends a request message on the communication medium for a reservation of the medium to a recipient station in the network. The recipient station sends a reservation confirmation message back to the sending station which receives it and responds to the reservation confirmation message by sending an ordered sequence of data frames to the recipient station. After sending the ordered sequence of data frames the sending station sends an end of transmission message to the recipient station, which replies by sending back an end of transmission confirmation identifying the number of frames received in their original sequence. If the number is not correct remedial action can be taken by the sending station to resend missing data. Address conflict resolution is also provided by another aspect of the invention. The invention has embodiments which handle unicast and groupcasting transmissions.

    摘要: To display contents desired by a user in one information terminal onto another information terminal having no special software for collaboration when collaboration is performed through internets. If a customer clicks on a "call button" with a browser, an agent who performs collaboration is assigned. The browser on the customer side shows both a screen starting a default and an object giving instructions to display the next page. The screen on the agent side shows the number of a document to which the customer refers, and the agent can change this number. If the customer selects the object giving instructions to display the next page, a hypertext makeup language (HTML) including that object is generated based on the document number changed by the agent, the HTML being transmitted to the customer side.

    摘要: A method of enabling a proxy to participate in a secure communication between a client and a set of servers. The method begins by establishing a first secure session between the client and the proxy. Upon verifying the first secure session, the method continues by establishing a second secure session between the client and the proxy. In the second secure session, the client requests the proxy to act as a conduit to a first server. Thereafter, the client and the first server negotiate a first session master secret. Using the first secure session, this first session master secret is then provided by the client to the proxy to enable the proxy to participate in secure communications between the client and the first server. After receiving the first session master secret, the proxy generates cryptographic information that enables it to provide a given service (e.g., transcoding) on the client's behalf and without the first server's knowledge or participation. If data from a second server is required during the processing of a given client request to the first server, the proxy issues a request to the client to tunnel back through the proxy to the second server using the same protocol.

    摘要: A non-uniform memory access (NUMA) computer system includes at least a local processing node and a remote processing node that are each coupled to a node interconnect. The local processing node includes a local interconnect, a processor and a system memory coupled to the local inteconnect, and a node controller interposed between the local interconnect and the node interconnect. In responce to receipt of a read request from the local interconnect, the node controller speculatively transmits the read request to the remote processing node via the node interconnect. Thereafter, in response to receipt of a response to the read request from the remote processing node, the node controller handles the response in accordance with a resolution of the read request at the local processing node. For example, in one processing scenario, data contained in the response received from the remote processing node is discarded by the node controller if the read request received a Modified Intervention coherency response at the local processing node.
