    摘要: An improved Horizontal Situation Indicator module for use with an aircraft, wherein the HSI module is adapted for accepting Bank Angle Commands or waypoint data from a GPS flight module and for using the same to determine a heading error. The HSI module is further adapted for outputting the heading error to the Flight Director module where it can be used to create a Roll Command for output to the Auto-Pilot, whereby the Auto-Pilot can be commanded to follow a turn using the HSI and the Flight Director without requiring an additional module be added to the aircraft to create the heading error for use by the Flight Director.

    摘要: The invention provides an apparatus and method of switching more than one bias voltage within an electron beam tube in order to achieve electron beam cutoff. The invention is particularly useful for high-perveance electron tubes in which a large change in focus-electrode-to-cathode or anode-cathode voltage might otherwise be needed to achieve cutoff. In one embodiment of the invention, the cathode (208) and anode (210) bias voltages are both switched by magnitudes well within the capabilities of standard high-voltage switches to achieve beam cutoff.

    摘要: A display apparatus displays projected images to a user. A viewing station comprising a dummy cockpit structure receives the user such that the eye of the user at a point in time is at an eyepoint in a viewing volume of possible eyepoints defined by the range of movement of the user at the viewing station. First and second projection screen portions face the eyepoint. A first projector directs light to shine through an aperture in the first projection screen portion so as to project an image on the second projection screen portion. A mask is adjustably supported between the aperture and the viewing station, and is configured so that it covers the part of a last lens surface of the projector viewable through the aperture when viewed from any eyepoint in a viewing volume of possible eyepoints of the user, and prevents the user seeing light scattered from the last optical surface of the projector. The second projector projects light on the first screen portion and an inside surface of the mask so as to form thereon a second image visible to the user.
